If you watched the video he most certainly wasn't interested in having a convo. He was more interested in blaming others and didn't make a single statement about any of the recent shootings that prompted these cop shootings.

Kinda hard to say the news anchor doesn't want to have a conversation when the cop in question refuses to field any questions about the reason why people would be running around aiming for a high score on police.

This whole thing smells like poopies cause it's hard to say there's not a problem, and even harder to pretend they're non factors, after the two murders that sparked these violent/murderous protests were caught on camera.

Well Don was kind of refusing too. Don even kind of points out in the interview they are trying to have 2 different conversations. Don trying to keep things on it being black people just reacting to police while the Sherriff kind of brushing it off and focusing police reacting to black people. Each refusing to really bridge the gap that connects these conversations into one and how both feed into each other because well both want to push their own side. I think it would be more accurate to say only 1 of them wanted an interview than conversation.

But black people ARE reacting. This isn't America fed up with police and fighting back, it's black people fed up and fighting back. You can't talk about the reasons for this violence with out talking about the incidents leading up to them, and making this only about the boys in blue kinda vindicates what these people are so mad about.

I'm not really arguing for/against either side just that each of them only cared to discuss their side.

But to devils advocate here to talk about the sherrif's side here you can't really talk about the incidents that led up to this without talking about the factors that may contribute to those incidents. I'm rather sure the Sheriff believes his boys in blue are just reacting and fighting back against the greater amount of crime from the black community. Again not saying that is the factor just the side the conversation he is trying to say. Also based on what he said I'd say he probably was getting at that most tend to be fabricated (or at least the ones he wants to point out) and was more of an excuse for this movement.

your so far from the mindset its comical

its gotten to the point were people are going to the mind set of "they will kill me anyways fuck it im taking as many down as i can / for generations this has gone on unchecked and unnoticed they will notice blood in the streets" do i agree with this mind set NO , do i understand why and how its gotten this bad YES.

i discussed it with my mom shes a vet of 23 years, her fear is that it will start a trend in military members (marines mostly atm) and snowball. you break something human in people to make them a marine, add in years of racism / video after video showing what blacks live in fear of its a very volatile mix. the GOP/media push to demonize BLM movement is only making matters worse, (once again dont agree with their tactics but the message is sound) making the ones calling for peaceful disruption into a "hate" group will radicalize alot more people.

so things will get much worse, the access of weapons in america make this a perfect place for unpredictable acts of mass violence / ambush guerrilla tactics. Cops here in SA are already traveling in pairs.

Until politians stand up and recognize something needs to change in police tactics , gun access , accountability within departments from actual deaths by cops , to IA / civilian complaints being looked at with any real penalty nothing will change.

the one fix i would love to see is a national pay raise for cops coupled with better training and them to root out bad officers instead of the end all be all BROTHERHOOD it currently is.
