That is the whole video it seems. says they didn't catch the shooting which sounds like they stopped recording before then which seems kind of convenient but also don't really see how the situation could've changed that much that a man lying down hands in the air can all of a sudden become a threat to people with guns already aimed and hiding behind cover. Also gotta love the way they phrased it... he was hit by a bullet.
I can understand being on edge when the only information you've got is "guy has a gun" but once you're there and seeing the situation yourself....there's no excuse for this.
The guy that got shot wasn't even the person the call was about ffs.
Tarage hit the nail on the head, idiot people like this who don't deserve to even look at a Police badge do nothing but endanger other officers with their actions. He needs to be fired and put in jail. There is 0 defense for this officer.
#handsupdontshoot redux
i was just coming to post the toy truck autistic shoot out.
White Supremacists around the country are celebrating their reintegration into society while sporting the new trendy shade of blue.
Is Blue Lives Matter a Racist Hate Group? The pro-cop, Trump-linked movement’s main Facebook community is a cesspool of racist rants and violent threats.

Guess we should start a police bingo for shootings....
and then a punishment bingo.
Center that everyone gets is paid administrative leave.
Administrative leave is pretty much a bargained right. There's very few exceptions where someone goes from employed to fired. We had a Sheriff's Technician we tried to fire years ago for using her access to stalk her ex. The union fought and won her job back with just the restriction of she couldn't have access to sensitive data. Yet we were able to fire the deputy who was using his access to give his gf information to help her clients in divorce proceedings. Shit is fucking messed up.
I think they managed to get rid of her after a week or two afterwards of her just filing papers and logging patrol car gas forms. One of our IT guys was actually given a subpoena for the case as we manage the license plate verification program.
It's actually kind of weird/scary how much involvement IT has with actual law enforcement/public safety. When I was working on the patrol car computers/laptops we would probably get at least one visit a month from IA asking for GPS logs.
So Oakland PD tried to mimic Wichita's attempt at community involvement by hosting a BBQ to try to bring people together and spur dialogue between the community and police. One of the prominent BLM protesters flat out said she eats pigs and doesn't eat with them.
Yup, sounds like Oakland.
