To push the situation, if cops yell to identify themselves to a deaf person who is unresponsive, do they then never once flash them their badges once they get the attention of said person? Actually it wasnt a generic "large black male", it was "a large, black man, wearing all black with "something on top of his head"", and he also said he had a backpack on him (something that could hold a large sum of money).


Also, Ekakitie seems to be somewhat understanding of the situation, but that could just be him wanting to take the high road.

I shit you not, that is usually descriptions we are giving by the public. It's also the only description we have right as a serious incident occurs. Makes the job pretty tricky, and individuals can get away easily due to this.

Yeah when I worked in retail and we did robbery prevention training they always stressed to try to remember things like tattoos, scars, piercings etc because most people just give the "it was a tall black dude" description.

If all 4 of them are wearing their police clothe I don't think them saying "hey we're the cops" needs to be really said. Though going up to every black guy in the damn area guns drawn is going to get someone killed. Maybe our police need to go through actual military training since our soldiers have 10000000000x better trigger discipline than any of our officers.

You'd think it'd be reverse issue since LAPD/NYPD cops really rack up the collatera--I mean non-combatant citizens lethally harmed during shootouts and everyone else seems to go off their training modules. Help a person not get shot? Get shot. Be a bystander to some dumb motherfucker wants to suicide by cop? Get shot. Drive drunk, crash, kill your passenger, and attempt to climb up and out? Get shot in the neck and become paralyzed. Get pulled over for speeding through a traffic stop on a bike? Get shot in the arm.

I've only been shot with a .22LR and it hurt good enough for me to not want to get shot by anyone or anything 20 years later.
