Not trying to brag or anything but it was justified because it was justified. The school settled out of court because they're getting flak from people who still believe it was unjustified because they can't accept hard reality. The cops were doing what they were told. Period. And there was no violation of anyone's rights because there was none. Period. Yet people still have this weird mentality that no matter what anyone says, no matter what anyone rules, no matter what scientist proved that it was x = pie, they still believe it was a travesty because some poor kids got pepper sprayed.

Oh you had nightmares and claim you suffer PTSD after being pepper sprayed? Imagine how the cops felt when you sued them and took away their pensions, their pay, all they worked for and the need to support their families because you're a pansy and can't take a bit of pepper to the face. It didn't scar you for life, blind you, cause you to have a heart attack and you didn't die from it. But those guys who couldn't pay their bills and feed their families sure felt it. And guess what? They were told it was okay to do it. Then suddenly they're told it was unjustified even though the fucking United States Department of Justice told you it was justified. I did, which is why I knew there was a hangup 911 call from the lady, the sounds of gunshots which then caused the cops to go in, and about the woman pointing a gun at them.

And of course the other side is going to try to give a complete opposite story. But the fact is, there was a hangup 911 call confirmed by dispatch which is an automatic sendout. My 78 year-old grandpa would do something like this. He would never actually shoot someone, but he would fire a gun into the air and just be generally brazen about it. His mental capacity is diminishing to the point that he can't remember what is going on or what happened even 10 minutes ago sometimes. Knowing and seeing how this dimensia works, I can relate a little better to this story. The old lady seems to have been genuinely scared and didn't quite understand the gravity of the situation or how her actions escalated it.

Seems a lot like media hype trying to create drama where there is none. It was a sticky situation with a lady that wasn't displaying the best judgment. Tell me you would not react with deadly force to a lady waving a gun around in your general direction. We don't know if there was a dialog between her and the cops beyond orders being given from the cops. We don't know what could have been the crucial part of the encounter that made that cops decide that this lady was dangerous enough to be a threat to them...except maybe the gun being brandished in their direction. Seems pretty definitive to me.

No meth lab but stuff was recovered. Honest mistake really; family will get paid. Drug enforcement on that level is friggin dangerous as hell. I dunno in what universe or SOP for rapid entry would you use a fucking Flash Bang in a house suspected to house a Meth Lab. You gotta be REALLY careful when you do those kinds of entries as one small spark and BOOM! Whole house goes up. And the "research" they did about the kids is utter bullshit. Most of those junkies who cook in their houses have kids. I'm all for the SWAT entry and all but it seems to be a bit of overkill and really REALLY bad investigative skills on this one.
