If you live in a place where people have families, jobs, and responsibilities and your party can be heard in an apartment complex across the street at 2am you should be set on fire.

An advocacy group has released images which claim to show an NYPD officer putting a seven-months pregnant woman into a chokehold for illegally grilling on the sidewalk in front of her apartment.

NYPD officers have been banned from using the chokehold since 1993, but an officer can be seen in the pictures wrapping his arm around 27-year-old Rosan Miller's neck in the Saturday incident.

Her young daughter is also in the pictures, watching the arrest unfold. The NYPD told MailOnline that it is currently investigating the incident.

Not a police news, but holy shit I don't understand this so maybe some of the bg cops can explain it.

I live in an insanely quiet apartment complex. Probably the quietest one I have ever been in. And it's ruined by a complex across the way that has these wild parties all the time. Easily like 2 times a month they are blasting loud music til 2 AM.

We have called in noise complaints time and again, but are basically told that since we don't live in the complex, we have no way to let the police officers inside. Which means they won't bother doing anything.

Well, tonight these shitheads set off like 4 big fireworks. The boom was insane. Within ten minutes there was a helicopter circling (I assume trying to find where). After awhile it left and they all cheered and continued to party.

Fireworks in LA btw could burn up the whole damn city in a matter of minutes considering the drought.

So, I call the local department and report where it is coming from. Guy says they had a few reports but to give him the location we think it is from so they can send someone out. He also wanted me to talk to some communications dispatch and connected me over there. Women tells me, "well if you can't let the police in the complex, we probably can't do anything about it."

Really LAPD? So, if I saw someone getting beaten to death you would be all, "TOUGH SHIT FOR THAT GUY THERE IS A GATE"

How the fuck is there no back up key or something for this shit.

The mail guy can come in, but heaven forbid the police have access to anything.

In the continuing saga of "What in the Actual Fuck LAPD" apparently I am fucking Nostradamus.

I cannot stress how silent my complex has been the past two years the tenants deserve a medal as it is the first place I have never had any noise complaints...until today.

I live on the second floor in the back corner of my complex. It is basically a box shaped complex with all the doors facing the inside. There is a gate to get in, but we do not have a buzzer to let people in because it requires a landline, and who the fuck has a landline nowadays? We usually just go down and open the gate.

There used to be neighbors living next to us that were very quiet, but I guess they moved. "Two" girls just moved in. Yesterday, the two were sitting outside their apartment all day long, which while totally fine, is just a detail that makes me think these kids are fresh out of college or something. Last night they were up til 3 am blasting music. My husband knocked on their door and they claimed they had family staying but it was like a whole gaggle of girls.

Today two of them (dunno if it's the legit tenants or the "family") started having this huge shouting match with some dude in the hallway right near my door, but I could not see them from the peephole.

Sounded really vicious so I called 911. Since I could not verify if there were any weapons they transferred me over to the LAPD. SURE ENOUGH. "Well, what do you mean you can't let us in?" I told them I didn't want to step out outside because they were fighting right there. "Well, unless you let them in they probably won't be able to do anything. Call your manager."

So I did, manager had to send someone out. Sounded like on the phone that he's already had a lot of complaints on these two girls so I imagine they won't be staying long.

But ya I guess I just have to call the manager when someone is dying because fuck if the police here want to do anything.

LAPD never surprises me anymore. This is the same agency that left a note on my friends car with a report # after his parked car got nailed in a hit and run. They couldn't be bothered to walk into his complex (unlocked) and knock on his door.
