dont think it's been out long enough to say it's underappreciated, and most people who've seen it have been positive, but I finally got around to seeing Chronicle and it was really good, imo.

what was that movie (perhaps upcoming) that has an american cia/fbi/green beret agent in whatever country and then he turns on his own agency/country?

I could swear it's recent, like 2011/2012 so that rules out Green Zone which I've seen (recommend btw) and Safe House takes place in the US (also recommend, the movie not the country)

For some reason I'm thinking either Denzel, Don Cheadle, or Leo DiCaprio was in it as the main guy, google has not been of any help

the ending annoyed me, I felt like it was a really good movie up until a certain point...as if the writers were fired and someone else finished the job and just shit all over themselves and the movie.
