If you want to question everything around you and are in a serious thinking mood. I wouldn't really consider it a movie because it's one of those things that you have to get inside the creator's mind to understand what the hell he means. I also know the kid that plays young Jack. And he is a dumb shit.

And for those of you who want to get drunk/high and watch a ridiculous movie:
Sukiyaki Western Django
Yes, it is a Japanese Western. Yes, it might be the most ridiculous movie you ever watch. It's in English and has Quentin Tarantino in it for about 10 minutes.

I remember watching this all the time growing up. It used to be played quite a bit on TV. Not so much nowadays. Excellent movie. Hmmm... maybe I should go as a member of the Furies for Halloween this year...

Another film would be Young Adult released earlier this year.

This is another kung fu movie, but more traditional kung fu. It follows 13 samurai who form an alliance to assassinate a particularly brutal lord. Some pretty epic fight scenes, but it's kinda slow. Also, it's in subtitles if that reading thing annoys you.

You are seriously underselling this movie. I lost my goddamn shit watching it, one of the best modern action movies I've ever seen.

This movie is a Kung Fu movie (kinda). It follows Yip man who is basically the man who pioneered kung fu as it is known today, but the story focuses very heavily on the occupation of China from Japan. There is not as much Kung Fu as a normal Kung Fu movie, and it is replaced with a very good story.

Also this is fucking fantastic and has a sequel and will also sell you on like 18 different Donnie Yen movies on netflix of which I can definitely recommend Flash Point and Dragon Tiger Gate. Though it is really weird to say "check out these great chinese movies."
