my friends and I frequently argue batman vs. goku, and Hulk always turns up in the argument at some point

I think a fair fight would start goku at a real low power level and hulk would start relatively unmad.
then i think its up to goku to push the pace early or just run away since he's faster and power up for 3 episodes.

goku has to 1 shot hulk or be able to deal with the instant power raise that the hulk would get... i don't think the opposite is true.
I say goku gets tired even though he's getting stronger during a battle, Hulk is fueled by anger so he won't get tired and wins in the same manner doomsday beats superman

This thread would be superman vs goku, but as i thought about it i decided hulk and goku beat superman, but couldn't get passed goku vs hulk.

For real, it is a case of Goku having to end things early before Hulk can power up. Goku is bullshit strong but he constantly got tired during fights, Hulk is the opposite and only get stronger as the fight goes on.
