I agree with you there, but this mumbo jumbo about odds is pretty much always going to play out in every game you try. I do agree that there should be a way to 100% your odds, albeit an expensive one. However, I'm not going to stop playing Tera for an RNG dispute 2 months out the gate. I get really annoyed when people make these "threats" about quitting over something that patience would fix.
If there's one thing that will make Tera stand tall, it's their use of the engine and the combat. Those two elements are nearly perfect, and will never need to be changed. Everything that's wrong with other MMOs on the market today have something to do with their shitty combat system that leaves players yearning for something more intuitive, or more engaging. Tera already has the "core" of its game working damn near flawlessly, and that's all you can really ask for in a game straight out of the gate.
(This is, of course, excluding the nexus. They have, however, acknowledged and have issued statements saying that's their #1 priority to fix)
Put it this way, if a game has crappy combat, you're never going to see a fix for it - it would cost way too much time and resources and it essentially defaces the identity of the game itself, so you're better off finding another game to play. You don't see that with Tera.
From this point on, they can tweak stuff that's a hell of a lot simpler to fix, and feasible. All we have to do is be patient.
