I didn't write it down, but looked like extensive alkahest gives double the bonus percent of regular masterwork.

This game is such a mix of WoW and FFXI... Half the quests show on the map, half require research... Same with crafting and HQ mats and travel...
A good game, but IDK if I want to commit the effort into a new MMO. I'm aroun 17 on my zerker, alt cleric/priest below 10 playing again on the new pve server without queues. Noticed today another new server for PVP.
Really only interested in my zerker at this point and he is probably severely under powered due to gear. Auto attacks do about 3% dmg now. No death threats, but fights take long and quests are harder to find and complete due to no map objectives. I don't have it in me to learn another FFXI... I'm going to play this as a solo FFXI slowly, or I'll give up quite soon.
Not to mention, it's disturbing how many female characters are in this game considering it must fit the genre norm of 85%+ male players.
You should be getting weapons and armor upgrades through quest rewards, and be mowing through normal mob packs... Weapons upgrade tiers are 14 and 17 I believe. Are you still somehow using a weapon from island of dawn? Maybe the starter weapon still?
Zerker really picks up at mid 20s once you get some glyphs. 25% faster charge on Cyclone and removing move speed penalty on Thunder Strike. You should be able to pull a pack of mobs and one shot just about everything with a Cyclone (if not the follow up Vampiric Strike should) if your axe is up to date.
Yeah, in terms of questing I think Zerk/Sorc have it pretty good (Zerk moreso cause heavy armour). Trying to do this shit on Mystic is killing my soul though.
I have been getting new stuff from quests/missions (missions are the red ! right?) but I haven't looked at the AH for gear and if its like any other MMO, AH gear is probably much better until lvl cap.
Because I don't know how to get back to the main town, I haven't been crafting lately... Seriously, it's like they start you out in training land, let you see the big bright city and all the things you can do in it, then tell you to go run around the woods for the next 8-12 hours XD
Every town has a flight NPC that lets you fly back to Velika, Lumbertown or Crescentia for you right now. At 10~ you should learn the Velika's Horn skill regardless of class too, that lets you warp there on a 1 hour CD. Gearwise you'll prob wanna grab a blue axe at 22, that'll last you til the gold 27 one you can get from the second dungeon. Enchant that to +6 and it'll last you til mid 30s, next gold is at 38 but you can use blues to bridge the gap.
Oh derp, those are the two races I'm playing at the moment lol.
All day to lvl up with my WoW buddies so of course the login server is fucked...
I really do like playing the NA version, but some things are so out of whack compared to Korea that I find myself always going back... I can buy a fully upgraded and masterworked body from the Queen set (not sure the NA name, it's Shandra Manaiya set in Korean) for nearly the price of just the recipe of Visionmaker. I bought my Visionmaker weapon and body recipe on K TERA for less than 8k gold total. I need to get farming and running more Nexus if I ever plan on finishing those Visionmaker items, since in the meantime I really should get something better than the faction tier 14 gear set I have...
Could anyone recommend some good farming for a Mystic solo? I don't do many instances because my long ping on the NA version can make me mess up, and on K TERA the language barrier hurts my chances at getting a group. My husband is leveling his character finally, but it'll probably be a couple weeks before he's 60 to duo BAMs with me. Even after the BAM nerf on K TERA, the level 58-60 BAMs are nearly the same strength as the NA ones.
I'd just pass it off as NAs being greedy fucks.![]()
I think the prices on recipes/vitriols skyrocketting is because people can easily do 4 clears per day of MCHM back-to-back now, where before the patch it was 1 per day and the reset scrolls were far more expensive and less in supply before to do an extra 1. Now people are basically able to get quills 4x as fast, so all the other items are in a lot higher demand but their supply hasn't increased.
I'm curious if the drop rates on recipes/vitriols is the same in KR. I heard their quill drop rate is significantly higher than ours because the devs have a goal of 15% of their players in full VM before they release the next tier. So I would think if that's true they probably upped the recipe/vitriol rates as well. I'm not 100% sure that this is true, maybe something someone playing on KR could confirm.
There are far more listed on the broker in KR compared to NA, but for droprates I'll need to run the dungeon myself to confirm... I think my gear on the NA side is probably good enough now to do it (ilevel 152), but I need to improve several slots on my KR chara before I'd be comfortable queueing up for runs. That and watch as many videos as I can so that I don't get booted from parties for being a noob to the zone >.>
Is TERA F2P in Korea? Having just gotten back to the motherland a few days ago, I'm thinking about getting on it.
EDIT: Welp, there's my complaint. They wiped out my Korean SSN when I left last year, and I'm still waiting to get my new Alien Registration card + SSN. Can't do shit until I get that back.
^Yes, K Tera went F2P several months before the other regions did.
RNG loot box for permanent robot mount ):<

If you only want it for one character, I suppose; but the option is still there to buy it directly if you want to get it for an entire account, which is probably only 20-25% more (based off their other mounts) to buy for all your alts as well, rather than just yourself. Yea, it's kinda shitty to have to pay more for the guaranteed permanent, but at least the option to buy directly is still there, unlike when the gym outfits were released.
Sucks for me because I'd rather buy the mount with gold than spend real money on it. I'll wait and see what the prices look like after a few days probably.
Really though, I wish instead of them making it so most of the EMP items are tradeable, that they would implement a system like GW2 where people can simply sell their gems for gold or vice versa. Just being able to do this would make it so their customers that spend real money and their customers that spend gold can get anything they want out of their store.
