I really cant dig a yellow sporting monk, or how every color slowly loses saturation to become a variation of grey. FFXI managed to create a realistic feeling with just a little bit of vivid colors that didnt ruin its vibe, at all.

I think the main problem with FFXIV is that it looks like every recent FF title that isn't XI, flamboyant and gaudy.
I really don't dig the whole mardi gras elecro-pop pseudo steampunk shit.

Totally digging some of the Garuda weapons though.

Haha I think people need to get the sticks out of their asses. Aside from the MNK fist... everything else looks pretty badass. BRD/GLA GC weapons blew my mind.

My biggest concern is that we're still Lv50 and have so many endgame weapons to choose from. lol

I wish they'd add more decent shields for mages. Sucks the highest M.Acc shield I have access to is +3 since I'm not from Gridania.

I had hoped with all these weapons there'd be an almost Megaman-style wheel where each one would help you significantly with a different primal. Alternatively it'd be neat to see a system where you combine the bonus stats of each one into a new weapon.

* New recipes include weapons, armor, and accessories.
* New weapon recipes planned for patch 1.22 are for gladiator, pugilist, marauder, and lancer classes only. Weapons for other classes are planned for release sometime after patch 1.22a.

Because the items were made by the Grand Company crafters, duh. Crafting NPCs want to participate in the economy too!

Joking aside, maybe you'll have to purchase the materials (darksteel) with seals?

Square Ash Shield +1 is +5 macc. Low lvl synth too so super easy to HQ. Aubriest's Allegory is nice too (+7 Attack Magic Pot).

I wish they'd spend their time making new enemy models or new armor models instead of adding four sets of unique weapons (Garuda, Imperial, AF, GC) in a single patch.

Most of their pre-2.0 models are never going to be used unless they let us choose the Gilgamesh race.

What do they need to do to make sense? I think the MNK is certainly the most novel of the weapons, but I'm not sure what you were expecting for the other weapons.

You guys complain way too much. All looks good to me aside from the brick fists. Hopefully the GC "gear" will include some new armor models. New weapons are cool and all but I think we need more variety in armor/clothes models.

Waaay to much sensitivity in here. I think all these new weapons will fit in more in 2.0 with the graphic overhaul and new zones. Not gonna overreact yet, but aside from da brix I like the models.
