the only bad question was the lincoln question. The quiz tried to define republicans as conservatives, and then asks what party lincoln was. Lincoln wouldn't be elected as a city representative by the republican party today

I highly doubt that even though he is revered by today's republicans, Reagan would never stand a chance by the GOP today.

urgh I generally just try to toss out some levity since I think these kinds of discussions are fucktarded(poopdeck wasn't my idea but I've been one of the main proponents of sandboxing politheo discussion), but in an attempt to be serious, would it be way offbase to say the rich benefit much more from infrastructure/normal government agencies(police/fire) than everyone else? Yes the handout-type of social service doesn't obviously, but it's not like they don't need the other stuff to make money.

You are correct. There have been several studies that show that the rich get as much or more from the government. Usually these are in the form of subsidies or tax breaks, and not in your "normal" social welfare model, but they are government expenditures none the less.
