So anyone actually fight the easy version yet? Curious how doable it would be with 4 people.

It's most likely possible with 4, people would need to be on their game because Aerial Blast hurts even 50s. I'm just not sure how much of a threat those Razor Plume adds would be to the stone pillars since they were so easy to kill.

I think it's doable, but you should be careful all the same. Unlike the Ifrit fight, you won't win in 5 seconds and you will take some pretty serious damage at certain points.

Doctor Mog killed Garuda like 2 minutes ago (Normal Mode) and they spent most of the time just fucking around with it trying to learn her moves and stuff. Looked pretty easy if you could dodge her conal attacks and avoid the plumes.

To mirror what other people were saying, her Astral flow does some srs damage. You'll need to pop buffs and hide behind the pillars in order to not get 1shot.

I haven't been in any rush to try the Garuda fight but how anti-melee is it so I can chuckle to myself and shed a few tears?

Just read your post on it, not too bad. Just wondering since I'll have to rely on shout groups for this fight it seems.

Lol now might be a good time to downgrade to classes if sentinel and raise will help people survive more in the long run vs garuda.

Watching the doctor mog easy mode fight it didn't look anti melee at all to me. Theres the plumes that swarm the field that need to be taken out often, and melee with AoE ws seem best for that, though perhaps mages would work just as well.

Garuda's attacks all seemed conal AoE as well, except for the big ones like aerial blast. Of course, there's plenty of dodging to be done, but seems easier to avoid her damage than ifrit and his eruption spam.

Of course, this is just easy mode. :D

Hard mode has her clones and stuff, and there might be some other mechanic that is missing from the normal fight.

Yeah, I have a feeling the clones were the catch SE was talking about for melee.

Probably yeah. If the clones decide to attack whoever's attacking them, then it most definetly will be a melee friendly fight, since they probably won't be one or two shot by a couple spells. SOMEONE's gonna have to hold em. And that's not even taking into account they probably use knockback + stun conal moves like the big boss too, which would wreck any mage's attempts to solo them.

I'm pretty certain her clones will come out after Aerial Blast, there was this weird lull in the easy mode after Aerial Blast > Mistral Song where she didn't do much and was where she ended up dying. Plus I'm pretty sure there were no stone pillars in the video when she's cloned.

How hard is the GC quest before mini garuda (solo able?)

Also what are the items you need to enter Garuda hard (where are they and how many you need)

Items drop from mobs in Natalan. Garuda's entrance is just Northeast of Natalan so Dragonhead is the hub of all things Garuda. All the same like Ifrit.

GC quest before Garuda I don't think is soloable, but probably duoable with a WHM. Mob hits about 400~ I think, and probably has about 10-12k HP if I had to quickly guess.

Need to take the caves NW of Glory for Gardua IIRC though.

Someone already killed her? They could have waited at least 3 hours so I could get my BLM staff without doing the fight xD
