Dark Souls is definitely better than Skyrim from a gameplay standpoint. Even moreso when you factor in multiplayer and ganking the SHIT out of people and the epic fights that can ensue when someone invades your world.

Ah, that sucks. Bastion is the first instance, level 20 or so. You hit Basilisks around that level too, first BAM outside the prologue. Honestly, the dungeons and BAMs are my favorite part.

That sucks. Yeah. A lot of people were having errors at beta launch. They fucked up something in their pre-beta patch, and fucked up a bunch more in the beta release. Closed beta was a lot more stable, and the artifacting and chat log glitches were ridiculous.

It was pretty obvious that the fucked up when adding the prologue to the main story, too, but no one reads that tiny little quest text anyways so it's not a big deal. You were originally a trainee right out of boot, and now you're some veteran or some shit, and the new NPC dialogue in Island of Dawn has a ton of spelling/grammar errors and plot inconsistencies.

The prologue is fucking retarded, it is an absolute waste of time... it especially pissed me off when I noticed my 53min exp buff was wasting away the entire time.

Yeah. I think they added it because a lot of people in Beta lost interest in the game before hitting level 20 where the BAMs and dungeons start. BAM fights are the game's real selling point as far as combat is concerned. Farming pixies is boring. Jumping around fighting basilisks is fun.

I wish they didn't make kingdom of almur so fucking easy, because I've actually been enjoying it more than skyrim or demon souls (haven't played dark souls but I'd imagine the difficulty is around the same). Not sure why I enjoy it more, but I've def put more hours into it. The easiness of it is annoying though.
