as for comics to read currently I suggest uncanny x-force and hickman's run on Fantastic Four and FF (best shit ive ever read, hickman is god).

also look into annihilation. cosmic marvel pwns.

Dick Grayson has a special place. I like tim better as robin when bruce is batman, and I like bruce better as batman in general, but nightwing is the fucking jumpoff.

The first TP of the new 52 are starting to come out next month, IIRC. So you can catch up on a few of them and work out which ones are worth following. Batgirl is most excellent, as Demo said.
