    Dark Knight/Robin spinoff

    Me and my friends were talking today, and I came to thinking.

    How awesome would a Dick Grayson origin story be in movie form? Have the first movie show the origination of Batman and Robin as a team, but from Robin's perspective. Then show him branching out and becoming Nightwing (don't even need to show the Teen Titans, just have him doing his own thing without batman) and then, having the whole thing come full circle where he eventually replaces Batman in Gotham?

    The movie could be like a 3-4 part blockbuster with each sequel delving into a different superhero portion of Dick Grayson's life.

    It could go

    Batman and Robin -> Robin becoming Nightwing -> Nightwing replacing Old Batman -> Futuristic Batman movie

    You'd obviously need a young actor that would grow olde over the production of the films. It'd sort of be like a coming of age story in the Batman universe. Only we get a new Batman character without rehashing the original batman story.

    Is it bad because a Robin movie couldn't stand on it's own? You could show the Robin > Nightwing transition in one movie then. Or just show how/why he eventually splits with Batman and becomes his own hero.

    And isn't there going to be a Justice League movie? Why not show Dick Grayson holding shit down in Gotham while Batman is off handling his own stuff.

    Well apparently they're using a new Batman for the Justice League movies so it wouldn't matter what Christian Bale does. The Dark Knight universe is separate.
