Not really, there's less chance of overkilling a mob /SAM sub than there is /WAR sub as WS average damage will be lower. If you think a mob is going to be overkilled then you can save TP and sekkanoki the next mob instead.

I understand what you're saying from a greater WS frequency PoV. I more meant that /WAR is going to lose out on WS average by Reso'ing into low HP mobs whereas SAM sub at least has an out on that. Granted it's on a lengthy-ish recast.

I misread and edited out the first bit of my comment.

Either way, /war makes me mad since so many people still do it all the time.

Don't you lose TP if you swap grips?

Probably a silly question but for PUP, Aspacrity vs Cirque for TP? Cirque gives accuracy and Reduce MA while Aspacrity gives attack, store TP + 1' and DA 2%

If you need the accuracy, Cirque wins; otherwise Asperity. However if you need the accuracy, probably something like PCC would beat Cirque, too.

As DRG, DEX or STR paths for Mikinaak armor?

In optimal gear (includes 3 pieces of Mikinaak) and using an Upukirex (dreaming a little) DRG has ~690 ACC using the STR/attack path, which is enough to cap accuracy on targets with less than 650 EVA without food or buffs. The DEX path offers an additional 37ish accuracy, capping accuracy for up to ~690 EVA.
For "delve fodder," 650 is right on the line of capped and uncapped. It's probably safe to say that this implies accuracy will be uncapped on NMs, however I think it is reasonable to expect large amounts of support when doing alliance based content: madrigal adds 71, Geomancer reduces EVA by 41 (do people bring geomancers to anything?), Gravity (5%), Feint generally caps accuracy 25% of the time, and food can add 11/16% (pizza/sushi), etc. Are there enough evasive targets for the accuracy to make a difference in the majority of situations (e.g. NMs with EVA so high that even buffs and sushi don't cap ACC, or normal mobs with 690+ EVA where the ACC allows you to continue using curry over sushi).
One notable thing about the DEX path is that the additional 30 DEX puts you pretty close to everyone's favorite dDEX spot on a lot of mobs, which potentially adds more benefit than the STR/attack. I know it's generally not a good idea to gear for DEX, but the 30 extra DEX puts you at 45 dDEX (race dependent) on Ig-Alima even.
The STR path is amazing for Stardiver, though, and the ACC from the DEX path is going to be largely wasted anytime a bard casts madrigal on normal mobs.

    input /equip main "Bereaver"
input /equip Head "Ares' Mask +1"
input /equip Hands "Ares' Gauntlets +1"
input /equip Feet "Hrafn Gambieras" (9% crit dmg, can replace with mikinaak if you get it to rank 10 or more)
input /equip Body "Armada Hauberk" (armadaberk is 5 stp 2DA for mine)
    input /equip Neck "Ganesha's Mala"
    input /equip Ring1 "Tyrant's Ring"
    input /equip Ammo "Hagneia stone"
    input /equip Waist "Goading Belt"
    input /equip Ring2 "Rajas Ring"

    input /equip Ear2 "Steelflash Earring"
    input /equip Back "Letalis Mantle"
input /equip legs "Ares' Flanchard +1"
    input /equip sub "Duplus Grip"

2nd best set thus far for adoulin content, and easily obtainable

no.1 set is jem's on his ffxi page, but thats need more luck on pak +1/gil/naakual luck and is only less than 1% better

WS set is right about there, your set isnt any far off the best

Like you said, it largely will come down to the support you're being provided with. Personally, I'd go with the STR path due to the fact that my linkshell usually rotates bards or at least has one bard giving me songs for Delve. On anything harder than fodder delve monsters (NMs/Delve Naakual), you're going to very much want a bard/corsair rotation and therefor I'd see the extra accuracy being potentially wasted there too compared to the str/attack bonuses. My linkshell also does bring a Geomancer, so yeah, I guess it's going to be dependent upon which sorts of groups you do Delve with. Or you could just split it; doing all STR path for the ws pieces (legs) and the DEX path for the tp pieces (feet).

For Ninja TP on generally easy stuff like dyna/abyssea: Feet slot, unaugmented Manibozho boots vs. Iga Kyahan +2 if kyahan is completing 2/5 set bonus?

Don't know how to quantify the +2 set bonus

I didn't realize how prohibitively expensive the Mikinaak pieces are. While I still do want to know what people think, there is an issue of practicality that I didn't take into account. At 35,000,000 gil per piece, concerns about the longevity of the set are pretty valid.

How high do you need to get Attack path Mikinaak Cuisses for them to beat Karieyh Brayettes for Resolution, even if you don't need accuracy?

So, I've been looking at my DRK sets again, and I was wondering if I could make any further improvements with what I have. Currently, I'm thinking about:

    TP:
    Bereaver (ACC, R2)/Pole/-/Hagneia
    Quauhpilli/Ganesha/Bladeborn/Steelflash
    Porthos/Bale+2/Rajas/Tyrant
    Letalis/Windbuffet/Phorcys/Mikinaak (ACC, R2)

    WS:
    Bereaver/Pole/-/Fracas
    Mekira+1/Gorget/Moonshade/Brutal
    Phorcys/Phorcys/Pyrosoul/Pyrosoul
    Letalis/EleBelt/Mikinaak (ATK, R5)/Karieyh

I don't own, or have easy means of obtaining Enif Corazza, Armadaberk, P. Body, Ares' +1, or Huginn feet, or Duplus grip.

    Any suggestions?

Should tie at rank 6, start to pull ahead at rank 7, assuming you're not capped on attack.

Manibozho. The NIN AF3+2 set bonus is one of the worst ones.

For THF Delve TP set I currently have this set:

    Mandau/Aphotic/Raider's/-
    Raider's/Asperity/Dungeon/Heartseeker
    Thaumas/Skadi +1/Epona/Rajas
    Letalis/Patentia/Manibozho/Manibozho

I know that the Raider's head should be either Skadi's +1 or Manibozho but don't know which one I should get. Was told this would be the best gear in there and would just like to double check the facts. I got a lot of people examining me at the beginning of delve fracture runs so wanna make sure it's the best.

Skadis head, Thaumas legs unless your manibozho are augmented far enough for decent acc augment, main hand aphotic, sub mandau and use exen. Not sure on dw earrings vs suppa/brutal.
