What's the best non Empy/Relic weapon for MNK. I'm working on my Verethragna but need something in the meantime.
I'm currently sporting Grotesque Cesti and was wondering if I should swap it out for something else.

Been gone for nearly two years and I see that people still wear and want Adaman Hauberk, but more specifically Armada Hauberk. Is this piece of gear only relevent with good Double Attack and Store TP augments? Even with those it looks like Ferine +2 blows this out of the water for BST at least? Isn't there gear much better than this now or am I missing something?

On the topic of BST, would someone mind posting a couple TP/WS sets? I will be using it for dynamis and soloing pixie VNMs. You can assume VW, nyzul gear and also add-on augmentable gear if anything is worth it. No abj from legion at this point.

With BST expecially, there are a couple of Hybrid, (PETTP and UserTP), sets you wear that make 26% haste still attainable. Using Aberk for TP would make reaching 26% hard, seeing how your waist and feet should see nothing other than Armada feet / Moepapa (Outside of fighting weak ass shit). That's 5% haste in two slots, and typically with Zelus/Brego/AF3+2 legs, you are only at 24% Haste, needing the +2 from body to get 26. You could sacrifice your neck and ammo for Terciel/Hasty Pinion, but that gimps your pet. I would use Aberk for a WS piece only personally, if you want a better looking TP piece go for Portho's.

This is my sets, not perfect, but makes gearing up BST not too hard.

Then of course there are more sets for when you pet is fighting only and stuff, but thats the typical set up you'll use fighting medium difficulty Abyssea and any 75 content.

Are Mirage Charuqs +2 worth getting at all? It seems that any function it would want to do can be done better by Mavi Basmak +2 aside from full-skill builds, in which case I also ask if the Charuqs are needed to break tiers on any worthwhile spells.

For Dynamis you'll want a good setup to maximize your time.

For VNM you can do it naked with a Pet. I just got done doing VNM path for multiple Emps using my Abyssea burned BST mule.

What are the best BLU swords these days that aren't relic/mythic/empyrean?

Is it ideal to get the 2-4 hit trial? It seems like it would be pretty quick since you can AOE grind a lot of the mobs.

I think the general consenus was that OAT2~4 sucks. High delay kills what benefit you'd have gained from it.

Magian STR/atk swords are very good. Although flame geode are pretty expensive on alot of servers.

Trust me, even with AoE grinding it takes ages to finish those.

I only finished the ones I have because I have this obsession with finishing as many things I start as possible. (Also gave me an excuse to go farm some Rare/EX casket stuff I wanted)

I do recall you get TP a slight bit faster with them on even with all the DA/TA gear around these days. The low base damage kills that though, and if you're soloing you don't want that massive TP feed.
