Well I'm making a Mythic for DNC, I'm not sure if that counts as being serious or just liking it a lot. =P
Was just trying to figure out when/where the Magian would win/lose, because I don't quite get it when the stats are so close.

Also, atm I mainhand an 85 Twashtar, upgrading to 90 shortly.

On the topic of daggers, mainhand Aluh is a given. However, for offhand should I use:

Lux/Corus or AGI Thokcha? Does it make a difference with/without Exenterator? I don't have either of Qilin's daggers yet.

Since Toci's doesn't exist, for cdc on BLU, which head is better, Oce+1 or Thaumas. I get the set bonus dex for 3 pieces and 4% crit rate on thaumas vs. more dex on oce+1. Once I get toci's, I know oce+1/toci is better, but until then, this is what I have to work with.

Target would be DC dyna mobs in level or less (lv75 content, toau/wotg missions, etc)

I recently decided to start building a relic and I decided on building a relic GKT, but I have no idea how the 95 version of it compares to building a 90 Masamune, and since I wanted to make sure i was building the better weapon and I couldn't think of any other thread to ask this in, which is better, a 95 Amano or a 90 Masamune?

I've always preferred Amano, though Shoha is nicer coming from a 90Masa in Acc capped situations. A 99Amano, which is well within the capabilities of anyone who can make a 95, is really nice though. 40% Kaiten is tough to beat.

Can anyone please point me to the math where NIN Relic +2 legs outdo 7% haste?

like, I only really use three jobs on my main [Thief, NIN, SAM], and I already have Shoha and Exen at 5/5.
Could stardiver, but I don't really use polearm enough to really make it worthwhile.

I've heard Shun is good outside Abyssea, but merit stardiver if you have Kannagi anyways. As for the leg dilemma, remember that haste and DW have increasing returns and that they're multiplicative.

Total Delay Multiplier = (1-Haste)*(1-DW)

The goal is to make "Total Delay Multiplier" close or equal to 0.2 (Capped Delay Reduction). So lets say you want add 0.8 to either Haste or DW. How should you distribute the 0.8? Should you give one 0.8 and the other none? Should you give both 0.4? Well, if you give each 0.4, then the result is 0.36 (0.6^2). If you give one 0.8 and leave the other at zero, you have 0.2 for the result. The idea is that if you have the option of increasing DW or Haste, to achieve the greatest delay reduction, you pick the one you have the most of already (I emphasized the italic part since Iga Hakama coming with 100% QA 200 ATT would be a different story of course). That said, NIN natively gaineds 35 DW and should have +10 from Emp+2 hat and Suppa (Another 5 from Chainmail if using that; another 5 if using Patentia). That means 45/50/55 DW off the bat. Even if you had Haste + Near capped Haste in gear (Not going to be the case before legs), you would only have 40 haste (25 + 15 = 40). Since 45/50/55 > 40, DW leg ftw.

Wasting time with the earring? You mean Suppa? Get that damn earring. Patentia would be superior to Twilight within the circumstance described, but the difference is marginal.

AFAIK, the best choice you have for offhand on mandau would be STR thokcha to complement your MS? either that or Aluh, but I may be wrong, sorry I can't be of more help.

Iga earring is 1% DW according to BG wiki. Kannagi is going to provide the largest time/cost:benefit ratio unless you already have kikoku, and can be completed within a couple of weeks even solo with limited playtime.

If you are determined not to get kannagi then shun is considerably better than jin outside of abyssea.

A well stuffed Jin can still rock outside of abyssea. I wonder if an excellent stuffed Jin is ahead of shun since shun doesn't crit.
