For SCH, nowadays you have to assume klimaform and weather always up, and in 90% of the relevant situations, an Ebullience charge up, too. With that in mind:

Memoria over Ombre since SCH has less natural mab and the set has less mab than BLM's. AF3+2 head always if you're using Ebullience, going from a 1.2 to a 1.3 multiplier beats all other options so far. AF3+2 body better than Nares body. Twilight cape and elemental Obi since SCH should always have weather up. AF3+2 feet since it's another independent 1.1 multiplier to damage.

Nares head better than AF3+2 even with Ebullience up. Not too sure on AF3+2 hands vs Nares, and Potentia vs Twilight, and I'm not at home where I have the Mathematica notebook I use to calc damage. I actually use Potentia over Twilight, but I've just realized I never tested it vs Twilight, and just assumed 6 int would be better.

There's alot of 'Magic critical hit rate' gear available now, it worthwhile at all tailoring a set toward that or is the bonus too negligible?

Magic crit damage just adds 10 MAB for the nuke that activates it. So, a piece that adds 10% magic crit rate is equivalent on average to adding 1 MAB. I don't think there's a single piece of equipment that makes itself worthwhile because of the magic crit, although of course, already great pieces of equipment like Nares cap will only get better (even if just by a little) with it.

I noticed most BLM nuke sets on here go with the Medal. I don't really care for e-peen ss's, but of course I'd like to do my best to max my damage.

Are you guys finding that the macc+5 and -casting time you get with the medal really outweighs the 9mab > 8mab on the Pendant?

I don't really have a problem with resists on most mobs/nms and the -casting time seems negligible at this point.

And aside from Nares pieces, are there any obvious improvements I could add to my nukes?

I'd go with Stoicheion. Now it's largely out of lazy so I can use it on my rdm and rng too and space issues. But the resist matters more than you think. Most higher tier VWNM nm resist magic decently.

For other stuff augmented zenith head +1 or rubeus. Aife's Pumps. Maybe that 8 int belt if that isn't better than 2mab ammo is better than ombre

Okay, theoretically one had about 200 million gil and a 90 Ukonvasara, and was about to get more heavily into Nyzul, top-tier Voidwatch, and eventually Legion if it's ever a worthwhile event, which would be better to take to 99: Ukonvasara or Ragnarok?

I will never regret 99'ing Ukon. There's literally nothing that touches you all things considered. I'm still doing Rag, I did Apoc, all that stuff. If there were two weapons I had to choose from all of them it would be 99Ukon and 99Vere.
