Can someone post an good TP and WS gear for DRG with ryunohige 99. I don't want exotic stuff, just stick to VW/nyzul/abyssea gear. Also what's the best non mythic polearm.

I think you should PM Martel about the Ryunohige sets. As for good non-mythic polearms, Gungnir, Herja, and OAT. I don't think there's much gear outside of those events you mentioned with the exception of Brutal (Important item anyways), Crimson legs, Mekira-Oto, Shadow gorget, and TP Bonus moonshade.

Creating Ryu sets confuses the hell out of me. Can never figure out if /SAM or /WAR is better, 5 or 6-hit. Then Jumps messing everything up.

/sam is better just for hasso according to preliminary simulations. I just wanted some serious gear choice, namely WS choice -because that is what the mythic AM3 heavily reliy on -. Right now I have it 50% better than relic using drakesbane and much behind vere monk mostly because you either lose hasso or berserk depending on SJ.

Well, since Ryu and Gungnir share the same delay, so TP set changes typically mean removing multi-hit gear.

That's Stromgarde's set, which I found to be the best when using the spreadsheet (However, that was using Stardiver as the WS; shouldn't make much of a difference though). The only pieces "at risk" are torque/ear1/hands. Other pieces are fulfilling haste or sTP roles. The feet change to Huginn technically.

The comparison would be against Requiescat if anything, not KoR. Almace still wins though, for what little damage matters on a job whose sole use is holding adds.

Not sure if accounts for all hp boosts but it did cruor buffs at the very least. Was very annoying to try to killshot something with a ws that did like 1-1.5k dmg in abyssea against hounds when occasionally when the mob was low I'd triple attack and all 3 would do additional 800 or so dmg lol. Even more so if I got relic proc/crit etc. Had to start keeping enlight up to stop it

Almace has a superior WS but its not like you'll PLD anything with a decent crit rate. I'm going Almace next then I'll probably do Excal for shits and giggles to compare them.

I'm doing Almace as well and am in stage 3 on sword, but not thinking it's worth it so I might stop and do Ragnarok instead.

Another question: Since its not KoR WS that is good and is the new WS merit for sword then why use Excalibur when you can use that WS on Almace?

2.5x dmg procs. 25% HP add effect procs. +40 attack. More dmg on 99 excal than on 99 almace, and excal is probably easier to 99 than almace anyway.

99 Excal is also very easy to get, where as 99 Almace would be quite the pain in comparison.

Does the 25% HP proc ever get resisted? Or is that why Excal was boss at 75 on high def mobs.

Excal add effect get resisted on mob that have resistance to slashing dmg, so aside rare execption, no resist.

Also I parsed it over a long period of time while I did trial(don't have the data anymore), unless it get better with level pretty sure the proc effect is 8% for the 75 one, idm redoing it if someone want number ect.
