I'm trying to figure out what's a better WS set for Hi outside of Abyssea. The only difference in sets is the body piece:

Main: Kannagi(90)
Sub: Arisui(Str/Att)
Ammo: Q tathlum
Head: Thaumas
Neck: Hope torque
Ear1: Moonshade earring
Ear2: Brutal earring
Body: Ningi+2 or Athos's tabard
Hands: Thaumas
Ring1: Epona's
Ring2: Stormsoul ring
Back: Rancorous mantle
Waist: Anguinus belt
Legs: Thaumas
Feet: Thaumas

I'm really indecisive on which body piece to use for my WS set.

Please forgive but wanted to ask which is better.

Have Masa90 and been told to use Fudo for AM then just spam Shoha, others have said Fudo onry; while even others have said Fudo for high buffs situations like ADL and Shoha when not zerking.

Of course it seems Shoha will spike higher but seems Fudo is just all around better.

Can anyone give me some advice as what to use and when. I am grateful for the help and thank you kindly.

If Attack is capped Fudo > Shoha. Attack uncapped Shoha > Fudo. In high DA situations (/war+fighters roll) I'd use Shoha. Ofcourse Fudo anytime you need to put AM back up.

STR earring vs Centaurus for Shoha/Fudo? (assuming Cent for Fudo, but still) If STR wins, how much STR would be needed?

Also, do Hachiryu legs even have a use for SAM now? Assuming Avant+1 is better.

TPbonus Moonshade is far and away the best option for both WSs, I wouldn't settle for anything less.


For Fudo use Ogier legs unless you have Tenryu+1. For Shoha use Avant+1.

Cent for Fudo then, it won't be doing much of anything for Shoha. So you'll need a STR earring for Shoha.

Phorcys and Ogier's stack, but the WSdmg only affects the first hit.

Toci's/Af3+1 hands/Keen/Rajas
Atheling/Brown Belt/Af3+2 legs/athos's boots

If I have a Ganesha's Mask and a Tessera Saio at my disposal...

Other pieces I have: Tantra +1 head, Tantra+1 feet

What is the best TP setup with that gear?

Now having these items (Tessera/Toci's/Ocelo head/Ganesha's mask) where do they rank vs. Tantra +2 set w/ Melee gloves +2 and Black belt? Honestly just overwhelmed with gear and trying to figure out the best combo for it all.

The gear your using looks like your best choice.

Don't bother with tessera saio (AF3+2 or toci's harness is better in any situation) and dont bother with ganesha's mask unless you have thaumas' coat ( and even then it is situational).

Tantra +2 body is unbeatable during impetus, consider getting it. Ocelomeh+tocis in very good outside of impetus, so consider getting +1 head, especially since you dont have BB. Generally speaking the "meh" af3+2s are hands and head, easilly replaced by better AH gear (brego gloves and ocelomeh+1).

Shijin spiral: ocelomeh is #1, ganesha will only give you 30 ish attack, and remember using ocelomeh + toci's gives you the set bonus.




HQ Head (+7), brego gloves (+4), brown B (+ 8 ) af3+2 leg (+6) give you 25% haste, so at this point you can use tantra feet, which double your kick damage. Next obvious upgrades are rancor collar, epona's ring and hagneia's stone.

Ok, I have Rancor's collar. Just wasn't sure if it should be used over Agasaya's. Epona's I'm desperately wanting to get. Hagneia's stone? Really? Over Thew/Potestas/Tantra?

As I understand it can be an upgrade if you find yourself sitting on 99 TP a lot. It happens to me quite regularly; I havent picked up a Hagneia yet, but I will be soon (as it will be essential for my SAM).

I'm trying to find a good earring for my PUP TP set;

Any ideas...? At the moment I'm using Kemas, but I doubt that's the best pick... Ghillie+1? Bruiser's? Using the DPS Spreadsheet, it's showing Bruiser's Earring as a solid pick, would that be a good choice? I'm still unsure.

Any other suggestions towards improving my set is also welcome

Hagneia's stone? Really? Over Thew/Potestas/Tantra?

very expensive side grade but TPing with 5.5 tp per hit instead of 5.3 is mathed to improve your average WS frequency by ~5% for a minor attack loss. (5.4TP does nothign btw). the next tier is 5.8/5.9 TP/hit with +22/+23 store TP. Right now stp+22 is possible by "only losing" 50 ish attack on ammo/head/back, but I hope more option will come out of salvage since store TP was usukane's selling point.

I'm inclined to think Thaumas Body is still best during 100 fists? If Impetus is up at the same time, would it be Tantra, considering your accuracy is acceptable?

Any specific Hundred Fists setups anyone care to share?
