Maybe if the race matters, but target, rest of gear, and buffs tend to vary your gear tremendously.

I gave a blanket answer in my initial response precisely because it's not a wash, Athos's Tights are the superior choice in hitrate-capped situations (Thaumas beating it in uncapped situations should be obvious). I'm accounting for a wide range of discrepancies to be thorough, but given that I'm unable to replicate their results in any hitrate-capped situation I'm going to guess that uncapped hitrate is the cause.
For MNK without Empy/Relic (STR H2H)
RR/SS/GH or RR/SS/Apoc for Abyssea? Been using the former as its my go to for DNC+THF, but looking to settle the debate. /WAR, Mithra, DEX12/12, STR12/12. Not that it matters as its Abyssea, but giving as much information as needed. (Full access to Thaumas and top tier gear sets excluding tenryu+1)
Apoc, RR, SS last I checked.
rag war:
augmented armadaberk fulltime if no phorcys?
elemental belt/gorget for non-MS reso?
Not that I know anything, but If you need the ACC i'm guessin armaberk would be fine. Otherwise probably Grim cuirass or something similar.
And why would it matter if you're using MS or not for gorget/belt?
EDIT: you talking about fatality belt? ele belt is probably a bigger increase than 2%
with MS i thought maybe crit dmg/str/attk might have been better (haven't really explored options for these slots along those lines). an assumption on my part (possibly incorrect).
so even under MS its ele belt/gorget, many thanks!
A substantial crit dmg increase would be the only thing i could think of.
Unfortunately it'd need to be on the order of 15-20% whic isnt happening.
Yes it does. But how much of a boost gorget/belt offer depends on ftp without it. Also your 27.7 is how much they increase dmg at 100% tp. But war already has +crit dmg and if you have MS up you should probably be using crit dmg feet so you'd actually need more crit dmg then that to have the same increase in dmg.
Assuming just job traits and af3/new abj feet at say 300% tp it would only take 24.3% while at 100% it would take 32.7%. With Oto active it would be 22% and 28.8% respectively. So yeah never going to happen
Today I decided to get a Paragon Galea for cure macro. I got 2 that look nice, and I don't know wich to choose.
Galea 1: Vit+3 attack+3 (this comes with every galea)
the augments: accuracy +1, cure potency +2% (2% is max you can get on that piece)
Galea 2: Vit+3 attack+3
the augments: VIT+8 evasion+2 cure potenty +1%. Does the effect of +11 VIT equals or beats +2%?
To answer your probable question to why I want that, the simple answer is simply because. That doesn't mean i'm not open to suggestion if you know of anything better, I don't know every item of the game.
The Adaman Barbutas from Abyssea - Tahrongi can get 5% CP and 3 Regen to double as an idle piece. Farming gold boxes is pretty agonizing though. Of those two, the CP+2% is better.
If they're anything like dark rings fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkk that
MKE hat.
CP +3% / MND +4
then IDK maybe:
vit+4 / shield skill+5

sounds like easiest option to me
Also a question of my own:
What would be the best Magian axe for WAR? Ignoring Farsha if it was even in the running. I'm thinking STR probably. Would be single wielding it with a shield for shits and giggles.
Never seen one actually have anywhere near those high of stats... reports might be getting confused with augmenting via tatters.
Kaiser Schaller can get 6% cp. Also can get fast cast, shield mastery, -enemy crit rate or -bdt.
Abj comes from seiryu so easy to get. Easy t1 cheapish recipe so easy to get an HQ if you can find someone to do it. And they are the cheapest tatters
