While I don't own the GA, I rarely (if EVER) see any owners actually use Metatron. Not to say that 99% of the playerbase doesn't suck. But even the supposed decent ones never use Metatron unless the aftermath will actually benefit them.

I can't see Metatron being better than upheaval in any situation. Except maybe naked Oo?

It is not that bad, and it generally performs better in low buff situations then upheaval (Dyna mobs for example) But outside of that i tend to toss it out there only if i expect to be swapping to DT sets often, but thats about it.

Lately i have been tossing it out in VW just to play around.

I am hopping that they fix the def down proc from MT. But i am not going to hold my breath..

Sorry had missed this reply. I tend to agree, anytime i am only getting self buffs, MT and Upheaval are very close. Even with VW buffs, they can be very close.

That's odd, you would think if its a fodder mob, the ws with 4x the hits, and the higher mod, would do more damage...

That exactly what i thought, i can't figure it out either, but you don't even have to parse it to see the difference its that noticible. Fixing my scripts now, based on todays posts, thanks again for the help

Upheaval 4ftp, Metatron 4.2 w/ Brav99. Possible the extra att from str vs vit doing you favors, but more likely just better str gear available than vit, and WSD gear applying to the 1hit on Metatron instead of 1/4 for Upheaval.

Does the 99 bravura add ftp? And if so, I thought it was only ~40% (which would only make it ~3.85 ftp or so, 4.05 with belt/gorget)

No it doesn't but it does have that 40% dmg so while yes it's effective ftp would be 3.85 without would be more like 4.13 with belt/gorget. But 4.0 for upheaval is only at 100% which will never happen so it's likely to be higher on the other hand if you are looking at it from the effective ftp point of view meta gains more from da/ta procs as well. The additional effects are fairly helpful too

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the latest I've read is that for all relic WSs, the +40% damage is added after all other calculations, so all extra hits will get the benefit as well. I can't seem to find the source for that atm though, so take it with a grain of salt if I'm butchering the equation. Regardless, my Upheaval and Metatron sets:

    Upheaval
    <main>Bravura</main>
    Duplus Grip
    <range>Remove</range>
    <ammo>Ravager's Orb</ammo> (Need to get a pebble)
    <head>Ravager's Mask +2</head>
    <neck>Apathy Gorget</neck>
    <rear>Brutal Earring</rear>
    <lear>Ravager's Earring</lear>
    <body>Valkyrie's Breastplate</body> Acc+6 TA+3%
    <hands>Phorcys Mitts</hands>
    <lring>Spiral Ring</lring>
    <rring>Terrasoul Ring</rring>
    <back>Atheling Mantle</back>
    <legs>Phorcys dirs</legs>
    <waist>Windbuffet belt</waist>
    <feet>Dilaram's Sollerets</feet>

    Metatron Torment
    <main>Bravura</main>
    Duplus Grip
    <range>Remove</range>
    <ammo>Ravager's Orb</ammo>
    <head>Mekira-oto +1</head>
    <neck>Light Gorget</neck>
    <rear>Brutal Earring</rear>
    <lear>Ravager's Earring</lear>
    <body>Phorcys korazin</body>
    <hands>Phorcys Mitts</hands>
    <lring>Pyrosoul Ring</lring>
    <rring>Rajas Ring</rring>
    <back>Atheling Mantle</back>
    <legs>Ogier's breeches</legs>
    <waist>Windbuffet belt</waist>
    <feet>Dilaram's Sollerets</feet>

    Edit: can't

3.85 is correct, I had it in my mind it was base 3.0 ftp not 2.75

How would restraint impact the calc above?

As far as I know restraint bonus is seperate from the + relic ws dmg bonus so shouldn't effect anything differently

For Requiescat, is there a point on a piece of equipment where attack is better than MND with the attack penalty? I am making a set for my two box's BLU, and do not intend to overly pimp her out. Specifically, if you dont have Morrigan legs, would something like...Tumbler Trunks (18 attack) be better than a piece with, say, 7 MND?

In my experience there is a Bigger Gap. Metatron is better Then upheaval in low buff and high buff situation (- mighty strikes). I unmerited it when i got ragna.

Due to the fact that metatron and upheaval do basicly the same dmg on high buff situations (and high end stuff) and metatron wins in low buff situation, I use metatron over upheaval, just because the aftermath is a nice bonus, hence the reason why I unmerited upheaval, because MS Resolution with Ragna does the same/better what MS upheaval would have done for me.

Ngen Seraweels are better at around 275% TP. 5/5 merit BP = 160% TP.

Not a Kannagi owner, but I'm fairly certain Rancorous collar is the correct answer.

Of what you listed, Hope Torque.

Hope Torque and Rancorous Mantle will generally come out ahead, actually.
