Caladbolg requires the use of a much weaker weapon skill than Resolution to activate ODD AM, whereas Rag just has the extra damage on regardless. Caladbolg really isn't a bad weapon, it's just pretty badly outclassed by Ragnarok for the moment.

There's no real reason to pick Caladbolg over Ragnarok atm, given that they basically cost the same amount.

The difference isn't actually that big, especially when you're engaged all the time so you can switch between torcleaver and resolution. Definitely no reason to make one though, it isn't any easier/cheaper to make.

Unless you need accuracy and are not capped on attack, wouldn't the alternative skadi head with skadi+1 hands be better? Unless the thaumas hands were adding a significant amount of crit rate.

Contrary to what I posted before, the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning a bit towards:

Re: THF and Skadi +1. I'm thinking that Sigyn's Visor might outdo AF3+2 helm. 14 Attack VS 1% TA basically, and THF isn't really ratio capping on most stuff you use it on anyway.
I think Skadi's Bazubands +1 will beat Thaumas Gloves. Currently I use AF3+2 gloves over that anyway.

Especially hands, you're trading 13Dex/9Acc for 8Str/12Att.

I think both head and hands will be Skadi+1 unless you need accuracy, then AF3+2/Thaumas.

Pretty sure it was the ideal TP set before the update, and skadi hasn't changed anything.

I still TP in full Tantra +2, and I am hoping to get a pair of Usukane Hizayoroi +1 for my Victory Smite macro, as I have yet to obtain any Thaumas equipment from Neo Nyzul Isle.

I would also like to upgrade my Usukane Sune-Ate to +1 for my PDT macro, since that gives them an additional point of Haste, and therefore makes them better than Fuma Sune-Ate.

Unless you're fighting something like Botulus Rex magic AoE spam happy, Owleyes+Genbu Shield. If you are absolutely going to die without Earth Staff, get a refresh grip.

Triplus Dagger is better than both iirc. Or you could just buy an Aluh Jambiya. It's like 1.2m~ish? Pretty good value considering how good it is.

Yeah, that was what I was looking at in terms of a future upgrade (I don't see myself making a STR dagger in near future). Sadly I don't have a Triplus laying around like I do for the other stuff.

You can duo Isgebind Thf + Healer if you were really bothered. If you cba to do that while saving for Aluh, my gut says Twilight due to lower delay and QA+3%, even if Supernal has higher DPS.

I'd go with Lux/Twilight till you get something better. For a short period of time I did Supernal/Lux (cause I didn't have much else and Aluh didn't exist yet) and it felt pretty meh. Triplus doesn't have the best drop rate but Isgebind is laughably easy and his KI NM is pretty much always up these days.

To follow up, for Voidwatch/Pil/War/etc I have AF3+2 & 4/5 Thaumas still coming top. Followed by Sigyn head & 4/5 Thaumas. Swapping in Skadi+1 hands over Thaumas hands in either case is a downgrade.

For DC dynamis, /dnc, etc I surprisingly have Skadi+1 head & 4/5 Thaumas coming in top, followed by Sigyn head & 4/5 Thaumas, followed by Skadi+1 head/hands & Thaumas body/legs/feet if there's any partial skadi set bonus, followed by AF3+2 & 4/5 Thaumas, followed by Skadi+1 head/hands & thaumas body/legs/feet if there's no set bonus for 2 pieces.

Tbh I'm really surprised about Skadi+1 visor being better than both AF3+2 and Sigyn on DC dyna shit. Skadi+1 legs (Haste/STP) make no improvement over Thaumas or AF3+2 legs in any instance as far as I can see.

So I guess upgrade Skadi Visor +1 for DC shit if you really want (+2.1~ TP/overall DPS). For WS, I still have 4/5 Thaumas +whatever body (Athos/Kudzu/Tessera/Khepri) coming up top (/war VW) with Skadi+1 head, 3/5 thaumas and whatever body afterwards which also equals exactly skadi+1 hands, 3/5 thaumas and w/e body, and finally skadi+1 head/hands, thaumas feet/legs and w/e body coming in last after that.

So not as much stuff to use as we'd hoped.

I'll probably do mask+1, it should be the best SA/TA mask too. And Feet+1 for cor if they have more than 12 movement (they prolly will).

How does body come into play if it ends up being 10% DW? Also have to see how potent the set bonus is, and if there are partial bonuses.

I imagine Skadi's Cuirie +1 would be an upgrade for DNCs if it has 10% DW. Maybe BST too? THFs can hit 25% haste without body slot as well, but I don't know if it would be worth sacrificing all the stats you'd lose.

It's probably dependant on your race and weapon. If you're using Twash or Coruscanti and/or you're a Mithra and end up at dDEX cap, you might not need the DEX from Ocelomeh+1/Skadi +1 and you'll still be better off sticking to AF3.

Kinda sucks that Skadi +1 is pretty much all a flop for THF though. :/ It's an alternative choice for people who don't do NNI, I guess?

For skadi head, I had Mandau/Aluh in spreadsheet, /dnc, haste spell, dia 2 and RCB, no samba (I'm never consistant in whether I use drain2 or haste) as Mithra with Str merits but no dex merits (I merited AGI. Also I forgot to change to YCB+1 but doubt it makes a difference). So it's highly possible the DEX is a contibuting factor.
