I have it set on zero buffs, except mule haste. No dia, no samba, no boost spells.

I already stipulated no samba, and my listed buffs did not include boost spells. If you have mule-haste then you will have mule-dia II. You will most likely be using a cheap 1hr food in dynamis too such as YCB+1.

But from the random fail thread we know how lazy you are, so I wouldn't be surprised if you're not Dia'ing shit or eating food.

If you're doing Dynamis it makes more sense to two box a DNC with a THF over a WHM with a THF IMO, so you wouldn't have Dia in that situation (Maybe a higher feather step/box step though).

Personally I think the difference is so small I'd tell anyone not all serious business about THF to just get AF3+2 and call it a day, unless they have extra Umbrage Papers lying around for some reason.

So wouldn't skadi+1 hands end up being the best assuming you could cap ddex without thaumas? I don't think we should be using the spreadsheet as an end all source of information. Or whenever you're capped on accuracy, but not going to be getting a big bonus from the dex. Dex based sets are too situational to just out and say that X is useless because of the crit rate gained from Y.

If you don't need accuracy or DEX, yeah, Skadi+1 would win by quite a bit. I think most people know that DEX gear is annoyingly situational, though given the situations you'd actually have THF melee in (at least for the moment) and you'd care about your DPS DC Dynamis is probably the best point of reference for general use.

Things like neo salvage, and dynamis EP are also worth keeping in mind though. I'm assuming neo salvage has too high agi for most of the mobs, unless using boost dex maybe?

Dynamis EP I'd go with Skadi +1, yeah. Not sure about Neo Salvage, don't think anybody's parsed their crit rates on those things yet.

I decided to play around with THF sets again, and I figured I'd try the max haste + patentia sash build for THF again since there's new helms and Skadi's Bazubands +1 now. Before these pieces it was better to stick to Twilight, but now I'm getting that:

Sigyn or Skadi+1/Rancor/Suppa/Brutal
Thaumas/Skadi+1/Rajas/Epona's
Atheling/Patentia/Thaumas/Sigyn

Will actually win in most situations now. Not sure how/if Warukatte Boots fits in somewhere.

Like with NIN, Nusku's Sash is not an acceptable substitute btw.

Aluh Jambiya seems to be the best mainhand easy to get dagger (with stuff like relic/mythic/empy/coruscanti/asteria/etc being better), whats the bets offhand dagger for soloing depending on what ws to go with?

I'm leaning towards a tossup between str kila, double attack magian dagger, or oxossi. I already have double attack magian dagger, so the question is:

Aluh Jambiya / Double Attack Parazonium
vs
Aluh Jambiya / Oxossi

Primarily using externator and evisceration.

Aluh is better than Asteria. How it compares VS Coruscanti varies. Don't bother with DA Parazonium, if you're going to make a Magian make the STR Thokcha. If you don't have time for Magians Oxossi is okay, Lux Pugio is decent too.

A lot of times when you're soloing you'll end up using Oynos Knife for the Haste anyway. Some people do swap out Oynos after the add effect procs but I find that to be way too much trouble.

Im halfway done my str kila, but is oxossi really that much better than double attack parazonium? 11% isn't something to be scoffed at.

The DA is nice but the delay is horrible (considering the DMG). I'm not sure about Oxossi VS Prax but Thokcha or Aluh beats it by a ridiculous amount. Pretty sure even Lux Pugio beats it.

Those THF gear discrepancies were probably due to you guys using different races. Race makes a big difference vs Dyna DC since Mithra have enough DEX to fully munch on the dDEX sweet spot with 4/5 Thaumas and whatever hat (I'm using Nemetona atm, for a very small boost over AF3+2).

Disagree. If it's a target you can melee, time isn't a factor, and it drops something you want, it's stupid to melee in anything besides TH/DEX/CritRate+ gear. This applies to an awful lot of things.
