You're ignoring the amount of time spent that could have been better spent on other stuff though. Fulltiming TH knife/hands/feet is costing you a lot more than a few seconds.

Hm, that would be damn weird then, because that would imply TH affects the drop rates of items in different ways. This is over what, 100 runs? It might be valuable data to add to the aforementioned thread then.hence my point of "why are you applying dynamis drop rate data to this?". I didnt pull those numbers out of my ass to make a point
Probably a brain fart on your part, I'm guessing you mean you have 10 min left when you clear (mistaking Dynamis runtime with Salvage). I dunno, I'm pretty consistently within the 80-90 minute range when I two-box SSR, that's if I TK the boss and don't bother TKing the singles. Granted my main weapon is probably way worse than yours (guessing 99 Mandau VS my lol85 Twash).full clearing the area in approx 90 minutes (sometimes it took 100, even up to 110
...which is ignoring the fact that there's a limit to how robot a player can go without killing themselves. If someone only does Salvage for gil, and they can spend 5 extra minutes and zero extra effort in the zone per day for some extra Alexandrite, they don't give a fuck how much gil they could've made by spending that 5 minutes elsewhere, especially if they despise whichever activity would make them that gil.
Example: I can make 3mil a day 2boxing Dynamis np, but I fucking hate Dynamis. My gil/hr is worse in Salvage, but I like Salvage because it doesn't make me want to jump out the goddamn window. Advantage: 5 extra minutes in Salvage. I don't think I'm alone here, either.
I use thf knife and th gear fulltime from floor 3+ in salvage. Even if it adds a few mins to the duration of the run I still full clear every gear and exit with 25-30mins remaining. That is using 2 box brd rather than whm or sch
People really overestimate how bad offhanding TK is against a finite number of trash mobs that are weak to piercing.
Yeah, that was a brainfart, broken statustimer is messing with how I track salvage time, since its a 100 min event. I'm generally out of SS at the 75-80 minute mark offhanding TK on 3f-4f. Time will stagger a LOT more based on if you're getting shitty cells early on in 2f or not. The difference on 1f betweeen catching head/back in starter chest and getting DEX DEX body body is easily 5 minutes.
This implies you're going from timed gilfarming event #1 straight to timed gilfarming event #2 straight to timed gilfarming event #3 straight to timed gilfarming event #4.
Go kill 10 rams without TH and kill 10 rams with TH. You dont need a huge sample size to discern that TH affects everything differently. It was over 20-25 or so runs a piece. I'm not getting excessive data because getting excessive data would ultimately negatively affect my overall alexandrite counts. Either way, its moot now for the most part since everyone does Salvage II, which offhanding TK leads to adverse drops due to the 100% drop rate and low drop on secondary (cant even ffxidb track it due to SE using the same names)
Also for what it's worth, i did SSR as BLU/WAR THF/DNC, hard for that combo to get too screwed by cells early. BLU's also a Devilet-killing machine, which makes 2F so much less obnoxious.
Small sample size, so take it as you will:
TH3 0/1
TH6 0/2
TH7 5/10
TH8 3/14
TH9 6/26
TH10 10/20
TH11 5/8
Salvage V1 Linen drop rates Sauce.
4/5 Thaumas and Ocelo +1 good for BLU tp?
I think the only upgrade would be nomnom hands but I can't afford them at the moment.
I thought since the argument going on about full timing gear that the question was whether Th 6(7)+ was any better than th 6(7). I mean I think we can all agree not much is lost on the first action so no reason not to maccro in gear for 1 hit. But full timing... ewwww
Triplus or Str Kila+2 or Aluh
until I can upgrade more, or get a dagger from qillin
Misread this at first, Aluh is the best out of those options. sorry
For Upheaval in voidwatch if your using 75 in TP bonus atmacites, should a person be using moonshade earring at all? or just terra's/brutal? what wins?
Pre earring: Upheaval is 1.375+3 ftp. Assume approx 200 vit, and a D158 Weapon (Brav99), gives a D of (D158+25 fSTR + (200*0.85)) = 353. DA is... 30%? Treating DA as an ftp increase, bringing total pre-earring ftp to 4.675
Terra = Increases D by 3.4
(353+3.4)*4.675*pdif = 1666.17*pdif
Moonshade = inc. ftp to 1.5+3+0.3(da)
353*4.8*pdif = 1694.4*pdif
Brutal = inc DA by 5
353*4.726*pdif = 1668.28*pdif
This is simplified somewhat, but use brutal/moonshade. Brutal and Terra have similar increases, but brutal is far more useful overall.
Evisceration (Inside Abyssea)
Athos Body/Legs or Toci's/Aug Heca+1? Heca have 3 Crit rate on them so it's 9 Crit damage vs 2Dex / 13Str / 38Attack
Also while I'm here what combination of Aluh/Lux/Oneiros would be best inside abyssea? (And for future reference: Which of those should be offhanded with Mandau in Aby?)
