Omodaka Gote vs. Usukane Gote +1. Is it worth trying to build around no haste on hands to get the double attack?
I have the 35 for Usu hands and now the Genta Gote. I would normally just get the 25 for hands and make the +1s but I see a number of people running around with the Omodaka Gote.
I don't have Nomk. Mittens or Tenryu +1 and these are not realistic options for me in the near future.
From the limited tests I did, activation rate of the additional effect was around 15%, and I based my calculations on that. Do they reference where they got that 7% number? Maybe my sample was flawed, as I was parsing another person's performance and I couldn't control the variables well.
Speaking of AGI, I'd have to put that set you posted in the spreadsheet. That much DEX looks like it could work, indeed.
For MNK. I just happened to get the 45 and the 35 recently, and I'm now working on Salvage II for plans. I will upgrade head/feet first but wanted to know if I would get use out of the Usu +1 OR the Omodaka. They could always sit in storage if it's not worth it, but like I said Nomk. and Tenryu aren't realistic options so I might actually benefit from the double attack on Usu +1.
That being said, I've seen a few MNKs and SAMs with Omodaka made when they could clearly have done the Usu +1 (They had other Usu +1 pieces). So I guess I was thinking there might be some builds that become useable if you can get 4% haste on the hand pieces and the omodaka seem better than other 4% haste hand gear.
for MNK, u can combine hands head and feet to get a good amount of haste and still cap haste w/o using BB
people uses omo unless they needed the extra 1% haste on jobs where haste are hard to cap due to irreplacable slots (nin af2 legs and af3 head for example)
there is way too many combo on MNK for usu, some people even use 4 piece usu so they can wear windbuffet belt
run a spreadsheet to test but tenryu is definately no.1
Looking for help on my Last Stand build for harder mobs in Legion and upper tier VW. Accuracy seems to be an issue and I am beginning to wonder if I am just doing it wrong? Thanks in advance:
Chatoyant/Reaver+1/Armageddon(85)/Oric.Bullet
Navarch's Tricorne+2/Light Gorget/Altdorf's/Wilhelm's
Gunman Gambison/Comm. Gants+2/Stormsoul/Stormsoul
Libecco Mantle/Light Belt/Mirador Trousers/Navarch's Bottes+2
Any advice would be great really. Hoping to get Salvage2 Hands (not +1) and trying to find a decent back option atm. Currently do not have the expansion to get any Rieve gears, Thaumas 4/5 (No feet). Thanks!
The TP Bonus is apparently only 50 but I would appreciate some further tests.

On my spreadsheet (thank you Motenten!) it's coming up worse than Kanto if it's a x-hit behind it. However, if the x-hit is the same (and not done by hugely nerfing your WS set - which is the only option available to me currently ><), the NQ GK wins by a significant amount.
Not played around with the HQ/Mas 90 yet.
Wonder if hq might have more tp bonus
My advice to you for Last STand on COR: unless you are getting buffed out of your ass with hunters, chaos, songs dont bother with Last STand on anything remotely hard. We just lack the accuracy for it, even with accuracy food. I have given up for this WS on COR, you either lack the accuracy, or if you make up for the accuracy you lack then r.atk.
How does the new 144 DMG GK compare to a 99 Amano? I am guessing that Amano still wins but would anyone care to make an educate guess of just how close those two are now? I am guessing Amano by 15% difference or so?
I'm no math wizard, but how do you figure Amano winning when they both use Shoha, the new one has higher base damage, and skillchain bonus?
Edit: Misread the post.
For Shoha would Sea Gorget or Justicair's Torque be better til I can get Ganesha's Mala?
It doesn't seem too hard to do it without nerfing your WS set.
I did a little numbers, and if I WS in whatever I like (STP from Brutal and Rajas only, not even counting STP from weapon) I get 17 TP return.
I calculated, if I loaded my TP set up (Hegneia stone, Kabuto+1 (what i got atm +2 making even easier), AF neck, Brutal earring, AF Body+2, Tyrants ring, Rajas ring, STP+3 DA+3 cape, Goading belt, AF3+2 pants, Usukane sune-ate)
Puts me at a total of +58 STP, this sits me on 21.1% TP per hit @420 delay, with 17 return on a WS (Possibly 18 with weapon STP?) I'm making a 5-hit without sacraficing any WS gear.
Could this beat out a 90 Masamune? I haven't even seen a +1 and I fear it is going to be 20M+ if it's made anytime soon, but wanted to know if it's worth forking out 3M and buying NQ and going for a 5-hit? I'm back to game recently and using Kikogosaku. Do you guys think the +1 will be affordable in the near future? <10M or so?
It's even fairly easy to keep a 5-hit with 407 delay. With a full STP setup including Grip you can hit 21.5 TP on a swing, therefore only needing 14 STP return from WS, so this could become very interesting.
I guess I'm asking mainly how would you attack this if you were me, I have 50/50 Lanterns for Masa, could go for it, but if I can buy a better weapon than 85 for 3m what's the point? Or if it can come close to 90?
How should I proceed?
Save your money and just go for the 90 masa it's pretty easy to maintain a 5 hit and I personally think Tachi: fudo more than makes up for the slight drop in Base/DPS.
