In defense for the drunk people comments, the diner is the ONLY 24/7 food place in my small little town. Drunk people after midnight are 100% guaranteed. We aren't 'that' group of drunk people when you go out in public though. Usually when we go we're watching other people have the problem which is when they go into 'drunk' mode and start acting a fool.

I never acted a fool, didn't disrespect her, continued to call her mam and didn't go about arguing with her in a childish manner. If she wants to be a child about the situation, I can damn sure be a child. I was the adult in that situation.

Guess I'll just let it go and save it for the next time we go in there. Cause there isn't any "I refuse to go back." like I said this is the only place to eat after midnight and it's about three minutes from my house.

Definitely wearing a pair of flip flops next time though.

If we're hearing the full story from you, which maybe we're not, That lady is a c*nt regardless. I've worked in food service and I've dealt with assholes, But thats no excuse for the way she acted. If anything disconnecting the phone for over an hour in itself is rather ridiculous and I'm sure her manager wouldn't be too happy about that.

I know dealing with drunks can be a pain, Just because a good chunk of "drunks" act like pricks after a certain time doesn't mean this lady had to treat all of you like drunken trash right off the bat with an off-the-wall insult. Regardless of how crappy, I believe me i know its crappy, Customer service jobs are, you never smart off to a customer in their face, even when they damn well deserve it, Its just not something you do if you value your job.

Before someone gets the idea i'm trying to preach "The customer is always right" tripe, I'm not. Some customers deserve to be shat on, but thats the kind of thing you don't handle by smarting off in their face, If you're working customer service, you should know how to deal with rowdy people, or tell your manager if it gets out of hand.

But thats the thing, If we're hearing it all, At wasn't being rowdy. I can sympathize with people who work CS, But this lady
just... again.. Sounds like a c*nt. Only one blaring problem is that as Byrth i believe first pointed out... They can remove you for whatever reason they want. Its their restaurant, However, I'm not sure how the higher ups would take to her being a bitch to customers 2 sentences into a conversation and disconnecting their phone line for over an hour.

Maybe you should drop it or maybe not, She was technically a giant c*nt but at the same time you were asked to leave, and for whatever reason they give, they have the right to do so... So it really could go either way. Its probably not worth your time in the end though. Ladies as old as you say she is, She's probably been there a long time and they're likely going to take her side.

Plus, Really should just get some real shoes next time. I know they covered your feet and all and she was probably just looking for an excuse to boot the "Drunks" out, But it could have been prevented, Just do so in the future. (Also, Don't wear flip-flops back, It might just give them more excuses to boot you out)

For example, they messed up my order, so I asked her nicely if they could fix it and she snatches the plate real fast off the table and yells "FINE" and had an attitude for the rest of the night. So, lol I was like fuck that shit and didn't leave a tip. Next time we come in she stops us before we even get into the door and is like I'm not gonna serve you guys because you didn't leave a tip last time. (lol my friends actually did, but her service was so bad, I took their tips and paid my bill with it after they got up). Then she had the audacity of accusing us of spreading mustard in the menus (it was cheese, bitch!)

The cool story aside, it’s actually not accurate to say that restaurants have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. In the United State, they do not. See Title II of the Civil rights act of 1964; Katzenbach v. McClung, etc.
