Here's hoping 2.0 isn't utter shit, but lately i don't have a whole lot of faith in Square enix.

Does anyone actually care...?
People need to learn to hold their phone horizontally. Also, why did he blow up a laptop too?
Dude's ex-wife's laptop i believe, i could be wrong... /shrug
and yeah guys, don't be so up tight, was just funny ^^ thought you guys might get a chuckle or two out of it.
I mean can you honestly not wish for everything i said in the video?
I thought it was pretty funny.
I wish people knew how to make videos using cell phones.
Should have recorded you finding it lol.
I wholeheartedly approve of this video.
what is your line of work?
gonna guess EOD?
Yo bro, swearing and being loud and saying obnoxious stuff doesn't make you "Fucking hilarious."
Lol shit was good and I agree, SE is behind the times, not just with FFXIV but they seriously need to realize this isn't the 1990's anymore where squaresoft could turn any PoS game into gold. SE has one last chance, that is versus 13, if they blow it i'll never buy another product from them again(assuming I don't die before the game finally comes out).
This would have probably been mildly amusing in October of 2010, video-horribleness aside. At this point, everybody already knows the game is shit. Nobody seriously plays, and 2.0 is treated with cautious optimism at best. To me the fact that you were seriously playing in 2012 says far more about you than it does the game.
Nice video. O: Wonder what type of reaction you would get if you posted it on the other FFXIV fan sites.
Lordender is pretty much spot on in that Version 2.0 is their last chance to redeem this game (and it would have to be in a huge way). Otherwise this will go F2P with a cash shop... something Yoshida has already stated he is "very interested" in. Not sure if they are already working with that business model and integrating that into the new game/engine in case things go south real fast, as a safety net. At this point probably you have half a dozen (at best) that actively post here on the forums that are looking Version 2.0 with optimism. The rest of us, like Celeras said, are looking at it with caution. In my case quite a bit of skeptical caution.
I don't think Version 2.0 will be utter shit: but honestly if it only ends up being average, or above average as a best case scenario: then yes I would agree that this game is done for as a P2P model. They still need tons of work, and according to the new populations which started up again on May 5th, things are not looking hot at all for NA/EU/JP. I don't think Shep was really playing FFXIV seriously, I mean checking his in game name; he only has 2 classes leveled above 20. Oh well, let us hope that the E3 video isn't some tiny 5-10 minute video with 45% of it being pretty cut scenes, because if it is...
The best possible way S-E could handle E3 is to just reshow FFXIV's CG introduction cutscene, then cut to black: "FINAL FANTASY XIV 2.0 OCTOBER 2012", with a tiny picture of Tanaka's face in the lower-right corner.
