That fight is some serious bullshit. Took me like six tries to win on Moderate and even then I ended up cheesing it and abusing the Chromatus. Elize is such a bitch with those spirit artes.

Just beat Chronos on hard in chapter 7. Took me about 12 tries until I finally switched to Hungry Hunter on hammer and tore into him. Best fight of the game so far.

Absolutely love Ludger's hammer arts. Using those way more than I am guns and swords.

I'm the opposite, the hammer is good but I love the swords and the guns. Ludger is beastly regardless of what you like that. Soooo good.

I don't like the guns because you move so slowly with them and my go-to party setup didn't have anyone that could do Link Artes with guns beyond the basic one.

Swords are my default against most enemies (altered Falling Snow too stronk) but I switch to the guns/hammer fairly often, especially for Guard-breaking. The only Party combination that could leave you with zero Gun LAs would be Leia/Elize and Jude/Gaius, which seems kind of redundant, but whatever floats your boat.

Lack of Link Artes would be a reason not to use 'em but the movement not so much if you ask me since you can just swap on the fly and all dem aerial enabled attacks... shooooot!

Heh my team was Gaius/Jude/Elize/Ludger, so I primarily swapped between Hammer/Sword; I only used guns if that was my only way of hitting a weakness.

I'm just finishing up Xillia 1 atm, can someone tell me what if anything carries over from the first game to the 2nd game? I know DLC costumes do, anything else? Like the costume you get for beating Jude/Milla's side of the game?

I think only the DLC ones carry over directly. Jude/Milla/Alvin's alternate costumes are unlockable in Xillia-2.

Party's been Jude/Muzet/Elize/Ludger.

If there's one thing I hate about this game it's having so many damn characters I want to use.

And Muzet's freaking hilarious.

To bad ludger is so much better than everyone else it feels pointless playing as anyone besides him, the link system at least amends this since the pairing is done far better than Xillia 1. I just bought this because of the recent 16$ sale and so far I'm enjoying it far more than any other tales game except for the awfully balanced bosses (fuck you chapter 7).

I played Milla almost exclusively in Xillia 1. Gonna beat the game tonight and Xillia 2 coming in tomorrow, pretty excited to keep going.

I cannot agree with this. Despite Ludger being good, I played Gaius most of the game because he's motherfuckin' Gaius. That said, the Rowen/Muzet combo is also godly beyond belief and the Rowen/Leia brokenness is still there.

After beating the game I rolled Gaius/Muzet/Leia/Rowen for the good ol' lockdown setup from Xillia 1 just to see if it still works. It does and its even sillier than before. Roche Waltz spam on Muzet and Rowen with Witchcraft is hilarious and the Stop Flow lockdown, as I said before... still works.

Sucks that you have to beat the game before you can remove Ludger but once the shackles are off, you can truly break the game. No chromatus needed.
