Hardcore Discussion

A trick I saw recently is to get an item with no stats (ie, "socketed ring") and one with +1 dex. Then you can equip the one with no stat and hover the item with +1 dex to see the approximate value of 1 dex in terms of dps given the rest of your gear.

A good slot to do this with would be a slot which doesn't have any +dmg or +ias, such as bracer or shoulder.

e: hate act 2. The latter half of Act 3 is so much better in terms of farming / danger. Just have to watch out for phasebeast packs.

Hay, I has a question about upgrading my weapon. This is what I'm currently using:

Theres obviously L45 bows available with higher weapon dps, but the 130 DEX is huge for my DH damage. I'm assuming the DEX isn't counted in the weapon dps since DEX isn't a generic damage mod. Without blowing money on a new bow and just checking the damage difference and hoping for the best.. any suggestions on how to upgrade? Or know of any calculators to figure out damage mods? I'm too lazy to do math atm.

The DPS doesn't take that into account but if you look at the "damage" +/- on the new weapon's tool tip it does.

Ya, I kind of assumed that also, as well as the attack speed. That's why I try to avoid weapons with elemental damage, since it makes the dps softer with monster resists.

really enjoying the game in hardcore mode. its a lot of fun having being worried about whats around the corner lol.

Also I found plans for Umbral Oath, so if any witch doctors want me to make it just provide mats.

i'll add you~ highest for me is near you at 52 barbarian, though i will be spread fully across all 10 slots eventually, so i'm usually up for leveling another hero / level / act / difficulty whenever
