about right.. you can get good exp in A3NM to 50-51, 52 whatever you like. you're almost low enough that if you go too deep in A3 at Lv43, it'll be no good
you would still get good exp in Desolate Sands and Dahlgur Oasis too

43 is on the low side for A3. You can certainly do it, but you'll be much safer getting a few levels. I'd stick in a familiar area of A3 or ever just run ZK until at least 46-47 before really progressing past siegebreaker. I don't really see much point killing Azmo before about 48. You *can* but you'll be much safer and get better xp/time rolling over earlier stuff.
For reference, the mlvl out on the walls in A3 is ~45. In the towers of sin before Cydaea are ~48.
I switched Ice Armor to Force armor for the first time and it seemed to help a bit. Was still around 75% HP or lower far more than I've been so far. Sad that I'll have to get XP to progress. So far I've just been clearing areas/reading books and haven't had to stop to farm/xp. :\
EditL Found these while getting exp if any DH wants to part with a little gold for them. Seem pretty good? Idk, couldn't find much to compare on the AH.

Kripp (first US server act3 Inferno HC) just died.
Fire Chains Soul Ripper holy shit
orz he had a good run
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_1k-z_MaPQ
Not much he could have done there. I think his main mistake was moving a little too fast. You can see he's just in zombie farming mode.
His enchantress stood in the doorway which pulled a soul ripper blocking his retreat, which he blew charge on, ineffectively. Perhaps had he saved charge as an escape / hp cooldown? It's hard to nitpick though, it was an extremely lethal ambush.
Suckers were knockback, fire chains, molten, and idk what the last mod is.
Man got a lot further than I can ever dream of getting, so I'd be dammed if I criticize any of his play.
But I think it emphasizes that there's no such thing as a safe room/doorway/turn/corner. Always be on your guard. The second you stop being on the tip of your toes, is the second you're asking bad things to happen.
He had been looking into farming that spot a few nights ago. It's just a sketchy chest to farm. I was doing that earlier to get a few levels in nightmare (Either the chest would spawn or the merchant you ahve to save from the skeles that come out of the lava) When the chest spawns it almost always has a champ pack around it...and they're almost always soul lashers. :\
agree, hard to nitpick, but this can happen when farming like this. main thing I feel having put nowhere near the same time on barb as him.. is have leap there. furious charge really just about as mobile, but man iron impact would make you a lot safer for 4 seconds. i'm sure kripp thought at least a little bit about leap/charge afterward
video title says last affix is Vampiric.. not killing those without a way different set up and probably a friend or two... or a really nice bottleneck to take some out before fire chains can be put on you. still though, knockback could just blow up your bottleneck and you're chained before knockback slow wears
here, this hc death is for jay, also with a newborn

I like that the people that should be playing HC take it like a champ (he "fuck fuck fuck"ed but still not bad), but the people that shouldn't be are angsty little bitches. Haven't died on a HC character yet so we'll see which category I belong to.
My first HC death, on day 4 after launch, made me a lil emo and I didn't play for a day. The deaths since just inspire a "Noooooooo. Fuck. Oh well" moment and a quick remake of a toon. Its always disappointing, but death is a part of hardcore. There's always room to improve and get better, and losing a battle here and there is gonna help you a lot more then the 1000s of battles you won up until the fuckup/bad luck moment. Just embrace it, its not that bad :D
It's not too too bad to die because you keep all your gold, stash + upgrades, gem dealer + upgrades, and blacksmith + upgrades. So, you just roll a new character immediately and twink him out from the AH. Definitely a "nooooo, fuck! oh well."
Kripp's got plvl'd back to 60 in under 3 hours. So he lost a shitload of gear and not much else. I wonder if he'll need to kill Belial again to access act 3? I guess it doesn't matter yet because he's probably got 3-4 days of goblin farming ahead of him first.
He'll have to redo everything up to act 3 yeah. And I'm sure he as all his old barb gear saved so hopefully his farming won't be too bad.
Yeah he only takes one step back if he was smart and saved his second-best gear.
In other news NV is freaking awesome. Did a zzz eyes closed zzz nightmare 5 stack Cydaea-Azmo run in like 25 minutes, got a heap of rares, probably 10 or 12. Makes me want to stop progress on my main for a while just to build up gear for successors coming through 38-45.
Yay, Lyceum coming in 1.0.3!

Up to NM A4, already cleared Istaku and Rakanoth. LVL 51 and 27k HP and 2.1k DPS. Istaku was tough only because of the endless cloud of mobs surrounding me. Rakanoth hit like truck, but at worst he had me down to maybe 2/3HP, and I could just drop blizzards and hydras and run if I needed a second.
Gonna farm A4 for a bit before I go after Izual, that guy scares me like the dickens, no matter what!
We're right at the same point apparently. Just killed rakanoth @ 50 w/ 1.8k dps, 26k HP, and 2900 armor. Surprisingly, Istaku was harder than Rakanoth. Looking forward to 51 for a new weapon; the DPS upgrade is massive.
