Back up to 23, in ZK's archives now. Lived and learned not to take stupid risks in HC the hard way I guess.

First HC legendary! :D

That's not bad, but I'd try to sell it before the IAS nerf![]()
For the lowlow pre-1.0.3 cost of like 6k, 93 normal essences / 34 fallen teeth, I'll make Quick Draw belts!
Lost my 46 demon hunter to death by router. For the first, horribly discouraged from playing hardcore.. $600k worth of legendarys and a totally OP 24k hp 2400dps pre-Belial DH wasted :/
blah..
yeah, try it only whenever it sounds fun/appealing
you also play almost exclusively the squishiest classes @Q@; and router/cat/ISP d/c deaths are never fun
I'm finally back in Hell difficulty after the coaxial cable death at 54. I'm farther in A1 Hell by far (Highlands) but still lower level at 53.5 Asteria fembarb. Had an opening vortex into its horded/moltened minions and nearly died in the Warrior's Rest place
best takedown was Fast / Fire Chains / Extra Health leaper/burrower type x4; they forced me to zone, then I came back ready and put them down (laid them low wtf is this talk)
stolen from the HC forums
TL;DR: I died. My monk's balls were larger than his HP pool. Story narrative below. Will start streaming my next adventures so vids can replace long posts lol. Enjoy.
"Xanatos stood on the stone bridge at the entrance of the Highland Plains as he tried to catch his breath. On the other end of the bridge stood the three elite goat shamans (motar/waller/extra life) and two giant tree walkers that had chased him to where he now stood, unsure of how they were going to attack. To his surprise however, they did not move to step onto the bridge, but instead, just stood in place and stared at him with a minatory glare.
Were they taunting him? Or perhaps they were scared? A smile appeared on Xanatos's face as he realized that he didnt need to run as they knew, just as he did at that moment, that he could kill them all. After all, had he not cheated death countless times before? Had he not slaughtered thousands upon thousands of demons and nightmarish fiends? Yes, he could kill them he thought to himself. Xanatos glanced briefly behind him to look at the waypoint back to town that was located a few yards away. Only cowards run.
Xanatos dashed forward and in a blink of an eye he was in the middle of the five of them. Immediately he threw down an Inner Sanctuary to knock them back and to validate their fear in him as he wielded holy power. But then, something happened that Xanatos did not expect. They were not scared, nor did they budge. It was a trap and before he could react, several stone walls shot up around him. He was pinned and while unable to move, the goat shamans hurled fiery rain down upon him.
Xanatos was worried, but he could survive this, couldnt he? Just then, before he could further question the seriousness of the situation he was in, the trees unleashed a dozen or more of their poisonous plant bulbs. The bulbs erupted into is a massive cloud of toxins that burned Xanatos's eyes, lungs, and skin. This was the end and he now knew it. His protective and healing powers were no match for the onslaught that was tearing away at his armor. Strangely enough, the adrenaline he had felt faded and was replaced with a calm, peaceful aura. He had many grand adventures and befriended many heroes along the way. Many of which had past away much like he was about to.
The smile returned to Xanatos face. By now the toxins and mortars had devastated his body beyond repair and he was still trapped by the walls without mercy. He closed his eyes. At least now he'll be able to say hello to his friends in the afterlife."
I like the adrenaline replaced by a calm aura, haha. If an HC death is legit, it is almost never very annoying in D3. It's good stuff. The d/c death was also not too annoying since I was fighting a pack that had just killed my friend... apparently, unbeknownst to me at the time, I was peacefully running to the afterlife with Jaymonk on Asteria #1
Got up to 35 halfway through act 1 nm last night. Hoping to maybe get trough to act 3 tonight if I'm not too tired. Me playing while tired is just asking for stupid mistakes.![]()
The only non-lag/router death I experienced that made me a little mad was when emorock joined my game while I was mid-champ pack and totally spec'd for solo play, lol Archon, even lol'r at Archon cooldown active. I was well aware of the incredibly high dps vs low hp dilemma I had rockin' in the Desolate Sands, but was very comfortable with solo play monster strength in light of the 10500hp on squishy Wizard I was plowing thru the Sands with at 42. I learned my lesson tho, and turned quickjoin off :D
But getting hammered 3 times by Blizzard fuckups and a Linksys kerplosion is sadlkfjads;klgjdaf;lkhjga;dlkfhjg
Yeah, death by Battle.net (or other various technical difficulties) are a giant pain in the ass. Nothing to learn, nothing to do better, just shitty luck.
Guys, don't worry. My ISP d/c death in D3 will be the catalyst of my starting an ISP, and I will blanket (profitably too mind you!) the contiguous 48 states with badass internet connectivity for all.
So, it's good?
Being this delusional is how I cope I guess
Kripp trying to beat Diablo Inferno now before the patch (midway through A4 at the moment):

They're up to Izual and doing SC dry-runs now. Even money on them dying to Izual I'd say.
Pretty positive they're dead if they try it lol
They almost killed him just now on sc, if theyre a little more careful/lucky they can do it.
They're gonna wipe. Not sure why i'm so sure but I am.
They did 3 dry runs on Izzy. Wiped on the first one, got Izzy to ~10% on the last 2 before intentionally wiping. The way they pin him seems pretty reliable as long as they can avoid dying to opressors or a bad big freeze.
Edit: doing a 4th dry run now. They switched to more defensive builds with abilities to break freeze. Somehow they apparently weren't aware that they had abilities that could do that (zerk/IP/MI).
They killed it softcore after the most boring fight since RDM solos (that said, clever use of skills and game mechanics), the twitchtv chat is about Inferno levels of fail compared to youtube comments.
