yeah I lost my 56 DH in Hell.. got cocky, nonchalant about bad affixes and ate a fatal Vortex

without normal diff gear, I stubbornly kill Butcher with like 700hp and Belial with like 1700hp. I'm in A3.. the same game I started at Outlook Road, I'm running through the Keep undergeared and I hit one of those stop/freeze/stutter step thingies we get sometimes while walking on a flame gate, dead. lol what the hell demon hunter. I know I was undergeared but c'mon, lol. My own fault, but yeah, DH.


DH is so DH.. I'm going to focus on 2 HC 60 DHs. I just hope I can get it before I fill up my Hall XD. I went from 5 archived to 7 archived in a hurry, 5 of which are DHs, haha. Other 2 are barb, but neither were legit, getting-stomped-deaths like my DHs always are.


On the bright side, I found The Crudest Boots in the game mothaafuckaaaz. I traded lv56 DH and lv25 DH for lv10 legendary boots.

(yep, these locked items in the inventory were lost. this was before I died at 25; stashed the boots though, lol)

yeah cockiness is usually whats gets you in the end. I died cause I panicked at low health and tried to run away from a waller. if I had just stood my ground and attacked I wouldve made it :/

You should definitely get resist gear for hell mode.

Both my melee characters have stalled out in A1H without any resist-all gear. They just take too much damage. Someday I'll go gear them out and progress.

I kind of refuse to use the AH and I never find anything with AR, and if I do get gear with resists its always 15-20 poison resist or lightning garbage.

I believe that's only for Monk (One With Everything).

For defensive passives, Barbarian only gets:

Relentless (-50% damage taken when below 20% life)
Tough As Nails (+25% armor)
Superstition (non-physical damage reduced by 20%)
Nerves of Steel (armor increased by 100% of your vitality).

barb gets a glyph on a shout that gives them +50% to all their resists, but it's like 59 or 60
