I wish they'd bring back "ladders" like Diablo 2, but instead add a little bit of a twist to it.

In Diablo II, they'd restart the ladders and people would rush to the Level cap.

A system I'd like to see in Diablo III is, when they reset ladders and players create a new character for the newest ladder.. it locks out access to the "Main AH" and opens up a new AH for players that have started the next ladder. Instead of the term "ladder" I think "season" is probably a better term. What a "season" system would do is create that launch day feeling, with everyone starting out at 0 once again. What do I mean by start out at 0? With no access to the "Main AH" and a new AH, items and gold cannot cross between characters in a new "season." For the next few months, players will have a fun new economy and not feel like they 'missed' the boat for finding/farming items.

Of course, once the current season ends.. A new season would begin, and those characters created from the previous season would join the "main AH" network. And the cycle would start over again.

You pretty much kill any incentive to RMAH with that since you basically put an expiration date on an item's value. Sure, you might coax some who thrive on competition to splurge, but you'll lose out on people farming for the out-of-season crowd and some people just hate the thought of being segregated from other players or knowing that their time will inevitably be wasted. I don't think I ever played an Open Ladder character on D2 once they got pushed out, and it wasn't just because of hacked item saturation.

Boards are okay, but I'd rather criteria a bit more amusing than levels. How much damage could someone take without dying? How many rares have you found? What's your biggest kill streak? Sure, some may find ways to cheese these systems, but that's what patches are for if they're bad enough.

I noticed lag was a biotch this past weekend as well. A lot of rubber banding, for sure. Makes for an interesting champ pack pull especially with vortex.

Last night with 5 stacks and I was right outside the chamber of suffering, huge lag spike that got me killed. After I came back in the game, the connection to the server was lost....lost my stacks but killed the Butcher anyway for 3 blues....le sigh.

Game's been out for nearly a month; still can't log on during peak times. I guess they needed to devote extra server resources to their RMAH which eats up people's items.

Edit: Not really a complaint but LOL something is terribly broken, a friend joins my game and I get the Space! I love Space achievement. Didn't got the last stash upgrade along with it thought

Act 2. I guess I'll wait until they nerf it because so far, Act 2 is impossible for me. I've bought a little more gear as my luck in finding drops has sucked. I'm @39k hp, 13k dps, min 750 resists up to 900ish and 73% armor with enchantress still, champs...wreck me. Can farm act 1 with sword/shield, dual wielding (less resists) and 2h without any issues but act 2, not happening.

I think the only reason I can do act 2 is probably because of my build, now that I think about it. When I get stupid champions/elites like firechains I just kite in medium circles with sprint and let the tornados do the damage. Battle Rage/Into the Fray with my 30%+ crit rate enables me to just keep going forever.

I'm definitely waiting for 1.0.3 though; when that hits I have no doubt I'll be able to spam act 2 just as easy as I do act 1 now.
