Mind tossing a link up?
it's equivalent to hardcore raiding or end game in WoW, if you don't have the time for it then you shouldn't really complain about it too much. stick with your non hardcore/hell modes and let people who enjoy this stuff to a far greater extent do it.

Shit is nerve-racking.
^ ty sir.
I really hate 25k repair bills. Especially when you're hurting for gold in the first place.
yeah repairing is really nasty now.
the patch just made everything worse. fuck you blizzard, you are dead to me now
Things are a little better for me in act 2 as I feel like I at least have a fighting chance. My DPS or something may be holding me up a bit but I've been able to get through some of the quests without getting wtfraped. Also, this has to be a bug. Check out the DPS loss from equipping my shield...

Edit: Looks like it's just paper doll issues as my DPS isn't actually that low.
Also, a legendary chest that I have (goldskin) that is mostly useless is now totally useless after the patch because the 9% IAS that was on it is now gone.
Gone? Didn't they say there was something weird about IAS on existing legedaries that they're fixing in a later patch?
It still bothers me that they went away with the lobby chat and put that lame general chat instead, I don't know what benefits they see with that, nobody uses the general chat. probably because having it while in a game is annoying.
I miss B.net 1.0 :<
I love joining a game, tele to party, and get raped immediately, cause the party wiped.
That happened twice last night. Before the last patch, I would laugh and checkpoint. Now, rage quit and hope to join a party that is alive.
I don't really get the obsession some have with chat lobbies. Does losing little avatars at the bottom of the screen really detract from text you can join/leave at will matter that much? If anything, the fact you can remain "in chat" while in the game should make it superior by default, nevermind the actual quality of conversation that tends to plague any online game.
Well, I don't know about you but when I played D2 I used to chat in between meph/baal runs, there was like 3-4 chats with 40+ people, now I'm lucky if theres 5 in a given chat, there's seriously no social aspect to the game, the only way you interact with people is either Auction house or Public games, which nobody seems to speak english at all (EU), it's basically a single player online game, this wasn't the case with D2 not to mention reducing public games from 8 to 4 people.
Also, since last patch people playing in pub games have reduced like 80%, 2 days ago there was 11k people now theres barely 2k
ok I take back my earlier post. I was expecting them to nerf it abit more but after taking a deep breath and trying again I think its pretty much where it should be.
farming act2-packs now with very very few deaths, getting alot of iLvl63-gear. managed first part of act3 too so all in all Im pretty pleased.
rubber-banding while fighting fire-linked mobs sucks ass tho :/
Eh, I can see part of a decline being a direct result of the patch. In clearing the crypts then going Warden > Butcher, I've only made 58k in gold after repairs with maybe 2-3 so-so items I'm not sure will even sell on the AH for 100k or more. In feeling I'm personally modestly geared, I can sympathize for anyone not so much so, especially a melee class.
Otherwise, sometimes people just wanna log on and kill shit, not to chat. The game itself isn't very chat friend by default requiring mouse use (thus only one hand on the keyboard... similar to why I loathed a controller for FFXI). Fundamentally, the ability to chat still remains. The AH also diminishes the need for trade channels, and I was never much of a fan of D2's economy since it was largely rooted in dupes I'd never get to drop normally, anyway. Basically I only found shit nobody wanted, which is probably more common than a few vocal trade gurus would want to admit.
Despite all its flaws and all the cries (reasonable ones and retarded ones); I've got my money's worth of the game, having played as many hours or more than the ones invested in something like God of War 3 or Darksiders (I'm not into achievement or complete games in all difficulty settings).
And I've only cleared ActI inferno once on WD solo.
I'd say I've got my money's worth out of it, too. Plus it's nice to not be throwing a monthly fee at something after like 10 years of doing so with XI.
Even so, I can't fault people for wanting the game to be better than it is, and unlike a console game, it has that potential to improve through patches.
Agreed, just wanted to put that out there since there's a few people wanting to nuke blizzard when we're at patch 3 (more like patch 6 but eh)
