Shielding, extra health, walling arcane mobs are pretty much guaranteed enrage timer. WHY BLIZZARD? WHY?

ugh, wall monsters are SO freaking absurd now. they stick me inside 1/3rd of the time and i can't do a single thing.
Yeah, enrage timer is stupid. If you can handle whatever you're fighting for that long without dying then who gives a shit?
How is that even exploitable... elites are dynamic enough that a bot can't handle them. And if you wrote one that could then fuck, you deserve it. Or I guess they don't want everyone building all resist/armor/vit and being able to do everything? But then your punishment is doing everything SO SLOW that it's not even worth it. Idk who's doing the patching, but that entire team is stupid.
And shielding is a stupid affix. What's the difference between that and extra health? Just makes shit last longer
I can deal with Extra Health, but shielding is fucking lame. 0 DPS for any amount of time with an enrage timer is retarded.
They need to fix the caverns where you can't see a fucking thing down some tunnels until you're already in them.
I finally tried Act 3 Inferno post patch and I have to say, what the fuck is blizzard thinking? I just defeated Ghom (barb) and I don't know how the hell do they expect the average player to progress, I have a pretty decent gear myself (1200 all resist, 53k HP, 1325 LoH, 10k Armor and 14k DPS) and had a pretty tough fight, I straight tanked him most of the fight but I barely could and had to move a little, but if you move too much you fill the whole room with poison in no time.
Now, I've died 3 times on the way because 3/5 elite packs I found had frozen affix plus arcane and got frozen in a bad spot twice and once because I tried to run past a group of those little shits that blow up next to you, rubber banded and 4 blew on top of me at the same time. All the money I got from gold drops and npcd blues is gone, and then some, Ghom itself gave me a 1k repair and I didn't die, playing right now without dying (occasional deaths aside) = losing money unless you find something to sell on the AH
The average player can't possibly afford that because they'll die much more
Pretty much. I now have to farm Hell in order to get the gold to afford repairs while trying to progress in inferno.
Well, I'm not farming, I'm clearing the Act, and I'm not complaining about not being able to clear it, if you read what I posted, I'm complaining about it still being way too hard to the average player and losing money even if you don't die.
And if you're not supposed to be farming Act 3/4 at all, why the hell put them in the game anyway? This game is all about farming gear, what's the point of having half the game not farmable? I'm sure they'll fix the repair issue, or people will stop playing this game soon, very soon.
My admittedly-under-geared Wizard recently got completely hosed by some elite pack landing on a waypoint with "assfucking" affix right after I spent all my gold... I had to eventually go back to Act-1 and slowly kill all the weakest zombies and barrels while naked to be able to afford repairs, one item at a time.
Incredibly stupid and I almost stopped playing that character altogether because of how much of a chore it was.
Or you could log into another character, kill a dozen things or do a single quest, then return to your main with plenty of gold.
E: I've picked up well over 300k gold in the last 2 A3H siegebreaker-to-azmodan runs I've done. I have no idea how you guys run out of money so fast. You must be dying a LOT.
Since I've played DH (leveled my friend's from 40-60 and cleared inferno act 1-2-3 pre-patch) I just don't have any fun playing my WitchDoctor anymore. He's sitting at 32k HP 800 all resist and 52k DPS yet I feel the gameplay is soooooooo slow, even with 20k more dps than my friend's DH. It's not even about being pigeonholed into a build to be viable, since I'm alternating between 4 different builds, it's simply an issue about having boring passives, 80% of the spells being useless, and no real incentive to use what made me play the class in the first place, which were the summons.
Most of my gamer friends already got bored of the game and went back to SC2/HoN/LoL, so I'm pretty much stuck playing the game alone (which is even more boring with a WD).
Also, fuck the new droprates. Been farming Act 3 for the past 3 days and I only managed to snag about 10% of my rares above iLVL 61. I get mostly iLvL 51-59, with the occasional 60-61 and the rare-as-fuck 62-63
What does completely broken gear cause? Does it reduce it's effectiveness down to zero? (i.e. no damage, no stats except your base values, like punching naked + bare-fisted?) It just seems strange that you would kill them naked unless being broken means they don't give you any bonuses at all.
It wasn't that I was consistently dying a lot, it was that I had just spent all my gold on a bid, then I ran into a retarded pack right where I entered my game that kept killing me and that's what broke all my shit, immediately leaving me incapable of killing anything other than Act-1 zombies... which took a stupid amount of time because my repairs cost a total of like 24k and a majority of my damage was now coming from a Templar.
(I didn't have more than 1 character at the time)
When something is at 0 durability, it is effectively unequipped (still in the slot, but stats and graphics are gone).
I'm not dying too much (once here and there, but not more than once per run) and a good chunk of my money goes to repairs, you're either lucky with drops and selling them on the AH or saying BS, because there is absolutely no way you're getting 300k gold from Gold drops and NPC'd Blues in just 2 Siegebreaker/Azmo runs, because I get 30-40k tops, not counting repair costs. Then again, HC may have higher drop rates than SC.
If you're going to say "Then don't die at all". Well, I surely don't want to stack up VIT/Resist items and going full tank and killing shit at a snail's pace to make sure I don't die cause I'd lose everything, I'd be playing HC If that was my playstyle, it's also retarded to force a HC playstyle to SC players
Gosh, 4k, that's like 15 piles of gold.
That's the kind of money I'm walking away with. I doubt it's a different drop rate in HC.I'm not dying too much (once here and there, but not more than once per run) and a good chunk of my money goes to repairs, you're either lucky with drops and selling them on the AH or saying BS, because there is absolutely no way you're getting 300k gold from Gold drops and NPC'd Blues in just 2 Siegebreaker/Azmo runs, because I get 30-40k tops, not counting repair costs. Now that I think of it, we've done 3 runs actually, so picking up 100k per run. That's not unimaginably high because we are clearing ice cave x2, then siegebreaker, then arreat core x3, and tower x5, that's 10 zones we're clearing, plus quest reward etc. Is it hard to believe that I'm getting 10k gold per zone? Not to me, after all the gold piles average like 300g and can top out at like 700. Hell even one pull of the scorpion things can drop like 1.5-2k. Plus the quest rewards, and of course all those blues--we have to hit town like 4x per run.
Now that's more believable, I thought you were just running straight to Siegebreaker/Azmo and killing only the champ packs on the way after getting 5 NV since that's what I do, otherwise it'd take me a good hour or two per run as being a tank oriented barb I kill kind of slow.
