I don't see how to justify sp over ss there, the fact that you're smashing everything is due to gear, not really benefitting from sp much at all... the exact same thing with ss instead would be nigh invincible, especially if that was natalya's shit.
You'd have lived through that death with ss np.
I'm all for doing what you want and you're clearly doing quite fine, but the ability to get away with something weaker doesn't make the stronger option any less so.
i didn't make the vid
but again the point of it is so you're in constant push, push, push mode with a lot more margin for error. the 3 seconds on shadow power is a huge difference and you don't have to try to dodge everything. furthermore it opens up a slot for caltrops (or whatever extra skill you want) which is particularly useful for fast mobs.
most importantly not having to dodge shit not-stop can cut your run times in half. my personal best times with smoke were maybe 18 minutes, but generally 23~ish or so. now i can clear both towers in 20 minutes.
Main skill: grenades (poison cloud). Keep shuriken cloud up (chakram, lasts 2 minutes), jagged spikes on caltrops, prep with battle scars, either ss or sp gloom, fan of knives with retaliate always decent too.
for skills, use the thing that makes targets hit by FoK/caltrops do 25% less damage, archery, and night stalker. Basically just keep chak cloud up, keep tossing grenades, and spam caltrops (but dont spam it to the point where you'll have a gap for too long)
Here's the difference - shadowpower will last 3 seconds, but monsters will never get off you. Despite SS lasting 1.5 seconds, monsters need to reacquire you as a target. Once they do that, they then need to swing/shoot/turn around again. SS is also a CC (root, slow) break, which SP is not.
(this isn't to say SP is bad, it's a great ability) but ss has a reason for it's overuse
K just watched that video too, and it's nothing that you can't do with ss. notice he's dodging everything anyway. The only "semi" difficult part about this game that poses a risk are boss fights and champ packs. If you're invis with SS, you can't be cast on (ie; cydaea can't throw pools at you to spawn spiders)
Just did that guy's run in 9 and a half minutes, and only reason it took so long was because of an f'ing succubus pack with waller and shielding -.-
That guy should have used nightstalker, he's an idiot for taking sharpshooter at a high base crit chance. He was constantly out of disc
fucking AH bullshit. current bid doesnt get updated when time is about to run out, making it impossible to win anything.
thats what Im usually doing, but after the latest hotfixes it just says my bid is too low but the current bid never gets updated
Guild Wars 2 runs fine but Diablo 3 runs at 3 fps on a good day, now I know each games goes about displaying shit and working the computer in different ways, but D3 is a fucking dungeon crawler with 4 players on the screen...
You wanna know whats bad? pvp is said to be a 4v4 deathmatch arena style which tells me they had the capability to allow 8 people up into the game. The game at times can run horrible with 4 players, I can't imagine how terrible it would have been if it was an 8 player cap like D2. I don't really get it, sometimes the game runs fine for me with 4 players, other times its so bad I feel like Jay Wilson is hitting the troll button then doubles it on me.
heh, with the barb exploit I killed Ghom with my terrible 15k-- dps by the time he was at 50% or so the screen had so much gas on top of gas on top of gas cloud that the game was literally running at 20 frames per minute , managed to end the fight, but when I zoned to the next area the game closed on itself (no crash no nothing it just closed) shit was hilarious.
Just got back from a 4 day break and launcher needed to update apparently. Keeps getting stuck in the same spot every time. Yay.
2+ hr unexpected maint delay yet again. Blizz simply has too many years experience with maint to routinely go over-time on all of their games...
Lol extended maint till 4PM PST, what a fucking joke.
I was hoping for a surprise patch, but the only surprise(?) I got was sadness.
Hah good timing for me to be at the beach all day
I forgot my account password about a month ago and changed it.
Blizzard's systems decided to wait a month to send me the text telling me my password had been changed. D:
Gave me a start this morning when I got the text, but my pw was the same as normal and I realized they didn't send me the text when I changed it...
