You know D3 is bad when the game list for normal mode on D2 actually scrolls down now, prior to D3, hardly anyone was playing D2. I am finding leveling games a lot easier now than months prior to d3 releasing.

In a 7 player tomb run, I saw 3 uniques and 2 set items drop, lolD3 fail.

I've pretty much decided to take a break till 1.04. Pretty much all my friends quit and sick of farming A1 inferno to only get a few ilvl 63's with 3 suffix rares that got vendored/salvaged

I accept that lag means the spec of spirit walk instead of death doesn't proc, but WTF with the actual ability of spirit walk varying in length between 1 and 6 seconds? I used a glyph to extend duration and it can still randomly be deactivated after a second...

Logged on to find 2500 gems stacked on top of other items in my inventory at the AH screen. Errored when I tried to sell them, but the price on them is 50x normal and double the min on the RMAH too. Seems like some big thing is happening?

Every once in a while I get compelled to jump into a public game just for entertainment, sometimes they're good, most of the times its horrible.

Dear scrubs,

You should only be going to town for the following reasons.
repair
dump all of your 61-63 rares into your stash
Take WP/tele on somebody.

If you're going to town every 2 minutes to sell, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

The long-awaited player versus player update for Diablo 3 won’t herald its arrival as an eSport, Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime has said.

Despite Blizzard’s major expansion into the eSports scene with StarCraft, it’s not planning a similar push for the action RPG, Morhaime said at a press conference at the Battle.net World Championship finals in Shanghai last week, as transcribed by TeamLiquid.

“We don’t have plans to make Diablo 3 an eSport. Diablo 3 was never really designed to be an eSport, and not every game necessarily needs to be an eSport,” the executive said.

Morhaime said StarCraft 2 was designed from the start with eSports in mind, making it ideal, and although World of Warcraft was not, it has certain “elelments” which make it work well. Diablo 3, it seems, is another story – but that doesn’t mean Blizzard will ignore its potential as a community event.

“There are certainly competitive things that we’ll be able to do with Diablo, and I think that at future Blizzcons we might set up different ways for people to compete at the game, but that’s very different from creating a professional tournament structure around something like that,” Morhaime continued.

“In order to do that, you really need to get everything right and you have to have the depth of strategy, you have to look at making sure that the strategies that are successful are balanced, and fun, and entertaining to watch, and all those things. So we’re not so sure that that’s where we should be focusing for Diablo. There are a lot of other elements of Diablo that are a lot more important.”

Diablo 3′s PvP side was promised months ago, and a few hints at it were included in patch 1.1, but the publisher has gone silent on the update in the interim. Game director Jay Wilson mentioned on Twitter that a news update is due soon.

I've always defended d3 because I think it's a great game but this is just cringe worthy. There's no way to look at this positively. :/

I'm not too sure why this wasn't just put in, you don't really need balance just a line of code that strips the player and restricts them to using grey or white gear only, giving that equipment an actual function to the game, albeit a minimum one.

Yep pretty much.

Something is better than nothing. People would have been happy with your typical dueling system directly from D2.

This idea that EVERYTHING WE MUST PUT OUT MUST BE TOP NOTCH AND BLIZZARD QUALITY attitude is fucking them more than helping them.

Honestly the problem isn't that they're going for quality. I'd rather them release something good than a half ass system again. Just, 7 months is more than enough time to get us something especially when they had at least a basis system for blizzcon.

I like to put it like this, D3 is to Diablo fans is what Ultima 9 was to Ultima fans which is horrible betrayal.

Origin butchered and retconned the hell out of the story which majorly contradicted every Ultima game in the series after they raped and scrapped all kinda features from what the game was supposed to be. Ultima 9 went through several dev teams after the original dev's of Ultima all fled to other companies.

Blizzard butchered and retconned the hell out of the Diablo story which majorly contradicts the first two games. The hero was some random warrior who came to tristam in D1 then they made him "Aidan" Leorics eldest son. They poorly explain the events from D2 to D3 and has some of the most horrible story telling I can remember, Leah is fucking jarjar binks of Sanctuary, a terrible character. They cut and cut features from the game until it was so simplistic and watered down where there is 0 thought process. If you go back to earlier Blizzcons and listen to those demo's and hear the stuff Jay Wilson talks about, D3 seemed like a completely different game than what we got. I don't even know how the fuck this doesn't classify as false advertisement. I wish we would have got that D3 game where there was an actual escort of Deckard Cain with two npc guards with you.

The loot system is so terrible in D3, I don't understand how he fucked this up when the game already had a set formula with an already established continuity. Instead of improving the formula that had been established 15 years ago from the first Diablo game and improved in the second Diablo game this fucking moron tries to re-invent the formula and cranks out one of the worst item systems I have ever seen. All this guy had to do was improve the formula Diablo 2 established, fight bots and duping at a much more aggressive rate(stuff that killed Diablo 2) and he would have done the game justice.

I hate to say it, Jay Wilson fucking George Lucas'ed us real fans of the series, I loved the old starwars, the prequels were just awful. D1-D2 were solid games, each game improved the formula, added new twists then D3 tries to re-invent the wheel, some improvements like running over gold to pick it up, solid game play but everything else is fucking awful and backwards.

Jay Wilson is more confused than a prostitute that ends up getting pregnant.

Server issues all day, many hardcore characters lost due to it (not any of mine).
Auction house went down, lost several high end items I had up for sale. I play hardcore only now, so no real money involved, but it affected both hardcore and softcore.
Is it too much to ask from a major gaming company that these kind of things shouldn't happen? Especially on a RMAH? lol...

I really gave this game a chance and was happy plodding along in HC and just starting to make it there, but with the loss of my best items for sale, I just don't give a fuck anymore.
Suppose I'll just be focusing on play testing path of exile now. Fuck this shit.
