Then I read Croy's post as the music was beginning, and I flipped to Lodestone in a damn hurry.

Then I saw what Croy was referring to.

And my very literal reaction was "****ING ULTIMA WEAPON, BABY, AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE" at the top of my lungs.

._. There goes any pretense at being an impartial critic in future conversations....

FF8's Omega Weapon looks similar as well, though the color scheme does most closely match Ultima Weapon from FF7.

Omega is probably going to be hanging out in Meteor's ground zero in the new 2.0 main storyline. Looks pretty fuckin' rad nonetheless.

Yeah,that surely looks like Ultima Weapon now. Not to be confused with Ultima which is a completely different creature. Same goes for Omega Weapon and Omega.
I hope it's some sort of super boss... maybe it would be a cool final boss for the Crystal Tower?

Kind of overlooked FF8's Ultima Weapon, which actually is the same color (and uses FF7's sword for that matter).

Reminds me of the dragons in FF3. Weren't that common, but made you shat bricks when you ran into them.

Question is, will that dragon be an open world boss, story boss, instance boss, or normal enemy? Would be nice if this game had the equivalent to Tera's BAMs just running around.

What's a BAM? Heard the phrase every now and then, but don't know what they are.
