    D3 builds thread

So I am still trying to figure out how to best build my which doctor. I don't have all the moves yet as I'm only level 26 but here's what I am running so far.

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...ijT!ZdW!.Zaaaa

I'm LOVING Acid cloud with acid rain rune, it's basically a shit all over everything button. If I keep liking this much I'll replace firebats with it and swap my 2 button to fetish army when I hit 30.

I'm sure it gets harder later but right now I just stand back and let minions rape and I just toss fire bombs and acid clouds.

My current WD build at 26. Bosses are a joke, everything is a joke. Its quite boring how strong it is.

Ok so I have to ask what you like about spider queen. Maybe I'm using it wrong but I never see it do any damage because it never really goes near the targets that I want.

Hey, I was wondering why you took Zombie Handler. Seeing as Zombie Dogs still only summons 3 adds, you're only seeing the benefit of 20% increased HP. Are your minions dying fast enough to make that worth it?

    I'm 25 now, using this:
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...XQYT!ZY!aZa.aa

Trying to decide what changes to make for Act 2 end boss, a lot of those abilities probably not that good in a boss fight.
    Maybe something like this:

Zombie handler makes me summon four dogs....and the 20% on the dogs + the golem guy makes it totally worth it.

I'll have to test that out again. I set the passive and thought I was still only getting 3 summons.

This is my current Monk build at Lv.25

I have stacked tons of Dexterity gear (currently sitting at 245 with gear) to get the full benefit of the Passive skill Seize the Initiative (armor increased by 100% of your Dexterity). Transendance constantly cures me as I use Lashing Tail Kick & Dashing Strike, also I have Breath of Heaven (with Circle of Life) to heal everyone to full in an AoE range.

I've been able to solo Act I, II, and III bosses with this build.

Let me know what you guys think.

Just rethrow it at the new mobs. Whenever I am coming up to a pack I toss it in them ahead of me, then if it dies or more mobs arrive I toss it over there.

Playing with a friends monk right now and in the dungeons I use soul siphon with the mana restore so I can spam vamp firebats. Might keep spider for bosses.

I was wondering the same thing. DPS or the actual "11-14 damage" listed on the weapon. If it's just the base damage, should I just be walking around with a Great Sword and causing massive damage with my spells on Wizard?

Weapon speed affects your casting speed on wizard. I like the faster weapons because it means less time spent in animation-lock.

Good to know, I'm running around with a +10Int polearm because the daggers and mojo with int just won't drop.

Looks good. Would love to see how it plays compared to my build. I'm also stacking Dex. I'm using Teleport Fists for main DD, Sweeping Kicks for constant AOE damage, Cyclone Strike to pull enemies INTO said vortex, then heal+damage for sustain and nuke, and serenity for survivability + more heals. Just got +DMG Mantra and I'm liking it, before that I was just using the Dodge aura....

I use whichever 1 hand weapon + mojo combo I can find to give the best damage. Right now I have a lvl 30 WD with 542 damage stat in my normal gear.

+x-x damage on items will pump your damage up a ton.

I hit a wall on act 4 midboss because I neglected any health gear, since that got corrected I've had no trouble.

Using bola shot with radius rune and cluster arrow with stun chance, along with caltrips plus bind, bat companion, turret plus rockets, and smokescreen w/ movespeed. So far only have difficulty if I'm rubber banding or get a horrible rare monster affix. Walling Arcane is some goddamn bullshit

So monks (or any melee in general, but primarily monks). Dual wield or 2h?

i was rolling with a WD just fine in normal with firebomb / acid rain / zombie dogs and gargantuan.

they really get a lot weaker in Nightmare tho. then again I was gearing for DPS so they really died fast.
in NM i tried doing the popular firebats / soul harvest thing. its pretty strong but also very mana intensive.. and its quite hard to get a good harvest with that many things that can kill you in 1-2 hits nearby.

i play mainly with glass cannon type DH and WIZs so i've been thinking of making a WD tank build. I'm told players stats carry over to dog/gargantuan so if I pile on enough STR they *should* be getting far less damage. DoT for the usualand dogsplosion for extra damage.
    think its possible?

Hard to beat the speed of dual fist weapons.

@ the two other monks above, i would recommend this build here:
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#WegdTh!YXd!ZZaZaa

basically it's all about enfeebling the enemy and buffing yourself as much as possible. crippling wave's rune is a biggie. 20% attack speed decrease on top of 20% damage decrease is no joke. Wave of light is very expensive, but the aoe radius of the rune is huge, it's my room clearer, which becomes incredibly important later on. Serenity with the extra heal is a bit redundant with the transendence passive, but it guarantees a full heal for a paltry 10 spirit. Life saver. Seven sided strike we're all in agreement on, same with flying side kick. What's hilarious about the kick is the stun will stun ANYTHING. Even up to diablo. Hard to be afraid of an enemy when it can't get any moves off. Mantra of evasion with hard target rune is again about survivability. The dodge + armor outweights the tiny damage of retribution, imo. It also benefits from the "seize the initiative" passive, they work together to give you a big boost.

The only thing i'll switch out is Serenity for Breath of heaven + Circle of Scorn if i'm playing with my buddies. Monks save lives. And if i can throw down a bit of damage while i'm doing it, all the better.
