TV Guide showed the new show as Soul Eater. Saw it with my own eyes, as did others.

Is the show any good? Seen the complete collection this weekend. Was actually about to buy it.

Soul Eater the manga and anime started out pretty good but then the anime quickly diverged from the manga's storyline and became completely different. I lost interest in it after an episode or two after that. The manga had started getting really, really good after a while, but then it just took a nose dive into shittiness. I haven't kept up with it in a very long time so don't know if it got any better.

I actually enjoyed the Soul Eater anime, the ending is.....ehh though. Since they give it an anime specific ending. I hated Claymore for doing this as well, but they basically just set up some interesting things, and it just ends abruptly.

It ended up making me read the manga, but the manga just felt way too slow to me (this tends to happen catching up on most monthly manga though). I'll probably read it again in the future when it ends or is closer to ending, but I just couldn't stand its progression.

the three Black Star vs Mifune fights are the three best parts of the manga. I would have loved to see their third fight animated. (Or was it only two fights? I don't remember.)

Perhaps the bigger question would be what shows haven't been on Netflix that'd actually be worth airing and aren't there yet due to the usual translation delay.

Pretty much this. They Sonyed the few remaining episodes, but until then, the show was good. You have to pummel through the first three episodes though because they're introductory/boring imo. At least until symmetry makes the show right again. Great pick by toonami though.
