It was nice to watch 2.22 in 1080p on my tv last night. I didn't notice a single edit by Toonami which was cool though it's been a while sinse I have seen the sub so I'm not absolutely sure.

Hello Toonami Faithful! We thought it was time to update you on some upcoming lineup changes to the block. In addition, we’ll be having our monthly TOONAMI Q&A this Sunday, September 29th from around 10am-Noon e/t.

I've probably already said it before in this threat, but somehow Toonami always gets me hyped to watch stuff. There isn't even anything on the schedule I'm actually excited about watching...but hot damn if I won't be taking the Six Hour Challenge every saturday night. I guess just acting like it's special, and treating it like it's special will actually make the shows feel special.

That said, wtfnoBebop? That's like one of the few shows that have been running from the start. I know it's not the first time it was dropped from the line up, but it always feels off to not have it on the line up.

Yeah, I know they said last year it would return but I was just hopping they were joking. The same 6 episodes every months is going to become stale. I mean I love FLCL but it doesn't need to air again.

Good question! We did indeed lose the rights to Cowboy Bebop, sadly. HOWEVER- we’re confident it will return, and when it does, it will be the remastered version! Stay tuned.

Looks like FLCL will only run for those 6 weeks and then that's it. It's literally just filler, hah.

It's the final filler arc. They went all out basically. After that it's the dub premiere of the Fullbringer arc next year.

I don't mind them bringing back older stuff to run in the later hours of the block, especially when they're so good at hyping that stuff up. Seeing as they're essentially showing 5-6 "new" episodes a week, and changing it's line up every couple of months, it's kind of hard to complain about them getting stale or anything. My only real complaint is that there's not enough new bumpers between the shows, we need more Tom and Music Videos!

BIG HONKIN’ TOONAMI ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey everybody! Just wanted to drop you all a line and announce a couple pieces of Toonami news.

First, we are proud to announce that Toonami will be WORLD PREMIERING the new series from Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) and Studio BONES (FMA, Soul Eater, many more), SPACE DANDY! SPACE DANDY is a 26 episode series that will be premiering in the U.S. BEFORE it premieres in Japan (yep, you read that right)! Details on that to follow soon.

Oh, and when will it premiere? Sooner than you think- January 4th, at 11:30 PM.

Yep, you read that right. Space Dandy will kick off an expanded 6-1/2 HOUR TOONAMI broadcast every Saturday. Toonami Faithful, we got our extra half hour!

Oh, you’re STILL not satisfied? Fine. We have some other great news that will be coming in the next few weeks, but until then we’ll drop one more little tidbit: In December, Toonami will take a break from our regular schedule and have a bit of holiday fun, with three weeks in a row of a movie special to kick off the block! What movies, you ask? Well, you’ll have to wait a bit on that.

Finally- if you have more questions about all this, GOOD- ask them here! We’ll be doing our monthly Toonami Q&A this Sunday from 11am et, to whenever we hit the tumblr post limit! Remember, your question could end up on our monthly on-air Tumblr Q&A session with Tom and Sara.
