Depth Diggers with 155Dex and two open sockets. Not using Beckon Sail though - decided to sell my 1 socket one since I got a Natalya's Shadow with MF on it so I ended running with the 2pc set bonus (+7% crit chance).

And yeah, crit chance and crit damage is factored into your character's sheet.

I do the opposite of these guys, only reach about 75k damage but have 40k hp and resists. I farm act 3 (set quest to kill cydaea) clear those 2 zones for 5 stack, kill cydaea, clear to azbrodan, kill him. ez $$. Can take a single hit from most stuff, but some things will kill me (like ogre fireballs or a melee hit) that being said, being able to survive a hit is nice.

if you were able to tkae 2 hits i'd call it a build. fuck blizzard

heh, much less frustrating to not get 1 shot by fucking spearchuckers. I'd commit suicide if i died everytime one threw a homing spear at my face

If I was able to get to 20k dps on my barb I'd feel godly. lol; I want to level my fire bender, I mean wizard, to see what the difference is in inferno.. but when the alternative is farming on my barb to pay for better gear I can't get myself to not play my barb. D:

duuuuuuuuude this. i swear their attack animation is bugged cause those spears fly at 34590890582304 mph. i rage so hard doing chest runs sometimes.

Yeah my Wizard is at only 40k dmg, but up to 48k HP and with force armor, and a little regen/templar heal/potions, I actually have a really decent level of survivability. I can take a couple shots in a row and barely live, or a few every now and then and regen/heal and move on. So nice not to have to deal with insta-dieing to pretty much anything touching me.

I'm playing Wizard at the moment and although I am really low level still (28-29 or something), Frost Nova + Wave of Force is my go-to. If I run right into a pack, or get swarmed on, I:

Frost Nova (Shatter) to freeze everything
Wave of Force (Impactful Wave) to knockback and kills a few things usually, setting off another Frost Nova, freezing anything just approaching, and stunning anything not frozen
Arcane Nova (Oblitteration) orbs tossed in the direction of anything still frozen, usually setting off another Frost Nova and repeat until area is clear

Will this soon become too dangerous to rely on (end of Act III Normal)?

You can probably destroy all of Normal mode with any type of spell sets. Act 1 Nightmare feels a lot like Act 4 Normal. But Act 2 and onward on Nightmare is when things start getting tough. It was easy to gear with nice stuff and inexpensive stuff up until about mid-30's, and that's when I hit Act 2 on Nightmare and things started to catch up with me. I am still a bit overpowered but I definitely need to kite some mobs now. So yeah, whatever you're doing just keep doing for Normal mode.

i was torching act 4 NM as 49 barb, thought i was overleveled, killed diablo, couldn't unlock hell. sadfaced. then got humbled immediately by hell after unlocking

Yeah that was a fun build while it lasted. By Nightmare, you're thinking "maybe I should try something else". By Hell, you're sitting in the back of the party doing something else. By inferno, you're running away constantly.

Eventually, when mobs start doing massive chunks of your health in damage, and it takes multiple Orbs to kill a single mob, you can't just run into a big group and pull off this combo reliably any more.

Beat Nightmare solo, 52DH... Think i had about 24k HP and 4-5k DPS, I forget... Diablo was actually... Kinda hard. Died once or twice due to trying to get the "No Health Well" Achievement.

Had fun :O

Edit: - Now level 54.. With a cheap build... about 25k HP and 7.8k DPS... Destroying Act I Hell, But I know its about to get really hard soon

I heard all the horror stories of act II inferno. Reached act II inferno..... those are fucking true stories. The game humbled my ass real quick.
