AiC>Nirvana>SP>PJ
The issue with AiC was they lasted about 5 minutes.
add GnR and that is all anyone needs out of the 90s, those 5 bands
come on nigger we can argue all night about 90s bands, the 5 mentioned were all top tier
for a live show, I'll give you that, but I like maybe 20-30 pearl jam songs and honestly, their albums are weak except for 10. My god have you even heard vs. (guaranteed you have, rhetorical question). I think I like maybe 2 songs on it.
as for pumpkins, with 42+ CD's of theirs including side projects, solo work, soundtracks, singles, and only 2 bootlegs, oh and a best of I'd say there are easily 80-100 really good songs
is pearl jam more enduring of a band? absolutely, but for 93-2001 I will say pumpkins were better than pearl jam every single day
just naw
I am so baffled why you would put alice in chains above any band mentioned in this thread lol
I mean even if you were a solid fan, you have to concede they have what.. maybe 4 great songs? their catalogue depth is awful
shitting on everything ever:
I love me some pearl jam, especially release, off he goes, black, quite a few songs off that album with all the photos on it actually, but aside from Ten and the one I'm talking about, their two intermediate albums had like 2-3 good songs on it if that, and my god Bugs doesn't count
should just lock the thread cause it ain't getting better than that
vs had glorified g, rats, blood, elderly woman song, daughter, animal, what in the fuck are you smoking howie
indifference
Go, Animal, Daughter, Dissident, WMA, Rearviewmirror, Elderly Woman, Leash, and Indifference all don't do it for you? Shit son. That's a whole damn album that's awesome.
And yeah, Vedder is among the very best stage performers. I've got buddies who don't even like PJ and have absolutely lost their shit at a concert. Pumpkins are stale as fuck.
someone needs to go back and listen to vs. then listen to billy corgans whiny ass and come back to this thread
didn't realize elderly woman and rearview mirror were on that album, I just remember going skip skip skip back in the day
Ten was so easy to like, song for song, and I played the hell out of No Code (god I finally remembered)
People don't give Yield enough credit imo. The flow is straight to the soul. In Hiding makes me fucking cry.
I think I borrowed it from the library once, I didn't particularly like the single, whatever it was, lemee wiki it rq
oh god, In My Tree, off no code so good
anyway given to fly is ofc good, the video for revolution was pretty cool, and I'm probably a bad fan for liking wishlist but him wishing he was her christmas tree always struck me as a touching lyric
