Did you ever think that maybe Ryko is just boring?
Did you ever think that maybe Ryko is just boring?
Your mind is unconsciously rejecting him![]()
I'm on Cymbalta for anxiety, depression and what seems like (can't really prove this though aside from my response to pressure on the 'tender spots') fibromyalgia pain & it has done wonders. No more pain (except for my lower back, from a previous injury) and feeling much more relaxed and happy. My panic attacks have all but ceased completely which is fucking amazing to me. The best part is that I don't feel flat -- many anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications cause you to feel dull or numb, it kind of takes your feelings away instead of just calming you down a bit. Zoloft did that to me, years ago -- it scared me away from taking medications at all (which honestly for me was terrible, because I really struggle.) I kept telling my (then) doctor that I felt blunt, flat, numb -- like I had no feelings at all, and he just never listened. I found it so disturbing that I flushed them and just suffered through my feelings. When you're used to being emotional, to having strong emotions and strong responses, it is terrifying to feel like you have none.
Adderall - I use only on school days, I take one in the AM and one at lunch (because otherwise I am all unfocused and flighty by 3pm, lol.) I take 20 (next week 30) in the am XR and 10mg XR in the PM (at lunch, so 1pmish or thereabouts). I still spend a lot of time studying, but now I don't feel like I'm not getting anywhere.
I have Xanax (low dose, 0.25mg) to help me calm down. Some nights I'm just too anxious and can't get to sleep. I know it's disturbing to Ryko because I just kinda toss and turn and fidget for 8 hours.
Hah. I'd go for that, except that he holds my attention longer than most people. My ex-husband used to get SUPER FUCKING FRUSTRATED about my memory and how completely poor it was. He thought I wasn't listening to him but in reality, I had listened, I just didn't retain it. That was a *BIG* problem in our relationship. He was constantly annoyed about my memory.
your xanaxs are white aren't they?
those are p good if you take about 4 of em
imo you are on too much shit, you have to get off it eventually
I take one. MAYBE two if i am really panicky. Otherwise one. Strictly.
Hmmm I don't think my wife has ever tried Cymbalta for her fibro. Might be worth looking into.
Ftr, it was a cheap joke for them toat. Didn't really reflect anything I feel. I don't use it, but idc if others do, nor do I really look down on them TOO much.
Mild tangent, but is Fibromyalgia really that common? It's something I never hear about in Real Life^tm, but it seems like nearly every female and every other male's girlfriend on the internet has it (Not generalizing per se, I've just never really seen a guy posting about their own fibro before).
It's probably not the most promising correlation ever, especially considering the last I read up on it it had no easily discernible physical symptoms for doctors to diagnose with (often leading some to claim it's a fake disease, or it's all in the patient's head. The doctors, not me). I'm a firm believer in the power of earl grey tea, sunshine, and the heart of the cards though. Wisdom teeth aside, the most I've ever drugged myself up was when I'd knock back the maximum recommended dosage of ibuprofen for muscle pain during my swim team days.
thx you totally reminded me I need to go back on adderall again. my doctor tried switching me around to random different shit that I can't even remember anymore like two years ago and it did absolutely nothing for me.
I probably need 30mg. I was on 20mg for a while, but weird shit was that if it wasn't two separate 10mg, and just the one 20mg, it wouldn't do anything. he didn't feel comfortable writing for 120 10mg tablets for one person every month, lol, I wouldn't either.
also: fibromyalgia sucks, my mom has that shit
my mom too
Apparently it is, yes. My wife, her sister, and her mother all have it. Though I suspect my mother in law is faking because she's fucking psycho. My mother has it. My sister doesn't. So it's definitely not uncommon lol.Mild tangent, but is Fibromyalgia really that common? And nope, if this is how I stay happy and productive and not angry/frustrated re: school all the time, fuck it. I'll stay on it. I don't take the xanax daily. I don't take the adderall daily. Addis are school/study days only, xanaxs are strictly for when I'm too wound up to sleep before midnight (I have to get up early for class.)
Apparently it really is significantly more common in women than in men according to a cursory bit of google fu. Huh.
