Same thing goes for potions. There's an alchemist NPC sometimes found just outside of Wortham (on the path to the spider cave) that sells for half price. I don't think I have ever run into the dye NPC though.

On an item that is like "30% chance to Inflict bleed for 2000-3000 damage over 5 seconds" does that do 2000-3000 a tic for 5 seconds? Or does it do 2000-3000 total during the 5 seconds? That's about shit if it's total since most enemies have a couple hundred thousand HP.
2-3k total for the 5 seconds.
Can someone post the official patch notes? I can't view from work and can't find from my phone.
Okay, I see people bitching about Reflect Damage added to Seigebreaker. I doubt it reflects 100% of your damage, so... just how much is being reflected? Does anyone know?
10% of 15k+ hits adds up, which I'd assume most people to have or more if they're there legitimately. I don't know SB's precise number, as I assume RD can be variable throughout the difficulties, but the suggested number isn't "too high" but at the same problematic when you consider some people glass cannon at 12k HP or less. Meanwhile, if you're at 40k+, you're naturally going to get bled down away, relying on a mix of abilities, potions, and orb drops. Just gets more complicated if you actually get hit, which pretty much any melee can expect to be.
Ultimately reminds me of the cheesiness of Iron Maiden on Abyss Knights in D2, which got removed way late in the game's life. There's no defense against it, really, especially when there are no health pools or random mobs nearby to spawn other orbs from.
Did anyone have trouble upgrading their Starter Edition to Standard Edition? My brother upgraded and still can't get past the Skeleton King.
I welcome reflect damage with open arms when I remember iron maiden. Whirlwinding through mobs and then OH SHIT CASTER LET GO OF MOU- FUUUUUUUltimately reminds me of the cheesiness of Iron Maiden on Abyss Knights in D2, which got removed way late in the game's life. Taught barbs to bring a bow on switch, that's for sure lol
Nah, you just switched to berserk since it was pure magical damage and couldn't be reflected. Also we can't use bows anymore. Masters of weapons, but apparently bows are now too hard to figure out.![]()
So are knuckles. Punching is too complicated.
For those playing on the americas, did people playing un pub games decrease by 80-90%? the game is basically dead in EU, there's barely 1-2k people playing in open games since last patch, this game wont even last 2 months at this rate...
There's probably more people playing D2 than D3
Ya know.. I never uninstalled the game. It's on my olde computer, still on my laptop.. and it seems to be installed on this computer as well. Maybe I should start playing some d2 again lol. I'll be worthless until I get full IK set though; and then I'll magically be able to kill everything with 200+ mf. :DThere's probably more people playing D2 than D3
There's really no reason to play public games unless you're bad. If you're decently geared then playing with other people just makes you get worse loot and kill slower. I don't even want to play with my friends anymore because they severely gimp me. This is possibly my primary problem with the game. Forced online, yet multiplayer is detrimental.
Also.. every time I want to play d3 as soon as I launch the game my drive to play is killed. I don't know why.![]()
I sort of feel the same way Deadgye, though I bought a badass crossbow off the gold AH last night so my interest is a little renewed, lol.
This also I don't understand, why did they make it that way... there's zero incentive to play multiplayer other than to speak to others.
I used to play D2 a lot back then, most of my time was spend in 8 player games in cow level or diablo/baal runs and had a blast (it was well before the bot infestation, I played the game again in 08 and baal runs were made by bots, wtf, didn't even last a week) so I guess I wanted to play like that but alas, blizzard doesn't seem to want to, they made a single player online game, you don't have to talk to other people, you just farm solo to play solo
Drops should be boosted when playing in pub games, not nerfed, that doesn't make any sense and makes people not want to play with other people, monsters are harder to kill and you kill them slower, therefore they should drop better loot, not worse
Hard to say if it's true or not, but there is a supposed hack going around that if you join a PUG game, they can gain access to your account and bypass your password / authenticator / phone call verification thingy, which is why PUG is currently dead, no one knows if it is fixed, and no one wants to take that risk as Blizzards only response to when it happens is "You're a dumb ass, you didn't get hacked from our super secure awesome game that no one could ever hack, you got hacked cause you're a dumb ass."
Nah, the session hijacking buzz died out at least a week ago or more.
