Life Drain is gimped in inferno. Go for life on hit. You only leech 20% of what you should in inferno, so if you have 6% leech and bloodthirst and have 20k dps you'll leech an average of 360 life per second. Bloodthirst is horrible in inferno.

Ita a level 60 buff you gain by killing Champ Packs (Elites?etc) or something... from my understanding, It boosts your Gold/Magic Find by a hefty amount.

yep any magic/rare mob pack that is not a quest mob gives you one stack of valor, stacking to 5x max, you lose all of your buff by doing any of the following:

    *changing acts
*leaving your current game for any reason
*changing your equipped abilities/runes(this imo is pretty fucking stupid after hearing them talk about spec diversity being important in combination with wanting to ensure that a combination of killing rare packs and bosses is the most efficient way to gain loot with valor, because you can't change up your spec for bosses without losing the buff)

They also said they don't want people changing their specs every pack or elite they come across.

Maybe once you hit 5 stacks you could change runes or something without penalty.

Aren't the Elites/Champs kinda random pop? Or is there a specific place where you can do this every time? If so, which act and where?

Locations are random, but certain areas can pretty much guarantee X number of a pack. For example, there always be 1 pack in the 3 crypts in A1, and sometimes you'll get lucky and find one right out in the graveyard, too. In general, it's probably safe to assume 1 pack per floor in most locations. Can be more, and obviously "outdoor" areas will have greater potential.

Came across about 1.5m in a necklace sale and I'm curious which upgrade route would be better. I'm currently 59 near the end of act 3 hell and will be pruchasing DH upgrades for lv 60. What I'm wondering is if i should dump all the cash in a near 1k dps hand xbow (usually do 1 hand xbow/quiver) or if i should make a bunch of armor upgrades that are a bit cheaper. I'm leaning toward the xbow because its a significant upgrade from my lv55 xbow (350ish -> 1k) and killing faster seems like it'll be more worth it in inferno.

Maybe it's HC in me talking but imo it's useless to hit too strong if you can't live.

(also never did hell or inferno yet so maybe talking for shit but meh)

False. Melees are next to useless in Inferno mode. I have over 600 in physical and about 500p magical resist equipment, and it does next to nothing. Until they fix the damage spikes by mobs in Inferno (which they said will be in 1.0.3 or beyond), melees have no change of farming past Act II.

The only way to farm Inferno is having an extremely high DPS DH or Wizard with movement speed, then swapping out MF gear for elites/bosses.

I'd say weapon first. Odds are any decent armor will be running you 1m+ per slot, anyway.

I don't want to change my spec every pack I come across, but you have to admit(for barbarian at least, only class I have capped atm) there are much more efficient specs for single target vs crowds, taking a huge penalty like that to change specs for a boss seems like a dick move to me.

and lol at your sig, cracks me up

600 physical and 500 magical is extremely low past Act I, lol. Barb friend has 1k+ in all and is using 900DPS IAS and 900 life on hit 1h with a 29% block Stormshield. I'm watching him solo Act III+ 2man game champ packs just straight tanking and aoeing them down.

There's also a fellow Inferno Boss merc for hire that's a barb that does Inferno Belial, Azmodan, and Diablo sales very reliably:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/top...9014333?page=1

In comparison, I can do everything he can do but can't really reliably do a 2man Diablo solo (depends entirely on shadow clone RNG in p2). So no, melee are absolutely not useless in Inferno, they just require more gear than their ranged counterparts.

They require really good and really expensive T18 tier to get through places that are supposed to only need T16~ gear. That's just... bad game design.

I'm looking for the absolutely fastest way to level my alt. I'm thinking get ported into bosses like azmodan, first boss act4, or diablo and having it spam killed by a 60 for the XP bonus... unless they nerfed that.

If they did, is there anything faster other than doing the entire game from normal to inferno over again?

Yeah quest XP is the way to go. They're nerfing all the easy ones to do (ie, azmodan) but you can still do Khasim Outpost for like 60k xp / min (hell)

ZK runs are not nerfed yet as far as I know, unless they nerfed it today. Pretty damn fast, dunno if the outpost one beats it.
