Crafting is Gambling, though, just with more currency requirements than gold and no "reload the NPC until you get the type of item you want on the screen" affair. All it needs is the chance to "HQ" into sets and legendaries.

Finally crafted a good amulet! Only took like 100 tries.. Wish it had a bit more crit damage on it but I'm happy with it.

I can't seem to find a good ballpark price for this. I haven't played Wizard so I'm not entirely sure how good max arcane power is and I can't seem to find any on the AH with both crit arcane and max arcane with similar stats. Suggestions on price?

It has a very nice combination of mods. However, most wiz now use, Andy, Mempo or Storm Crow. I have not seen a wiz wearing rare helm in ages. Also, it has very low crit chance, so it will not show up in most search. It is going to be a tough sell.

Would say it's worth more than 250. Sell for gold on d2jsp and sell that for money. I assume you could probably get 4-5bil+

I gave it a thought and decided to list it for real money. Currently gold is about 6-7 cents per mil. For $250, That is 3.5-4 bil. I think that is pretty good. Would I have gotten more from d2jsp? Possibly. However, I liked the idea of being flixible. I can get upcoming d3 or sc expansion with the money or buy gold if needed rather than sitting on crap load of in game gold with decling value.
By the way, the ring got sold within a couple of hours. I guess it really was a darn good ring. At frist glance, I really did not think it was that good.

I can't ever get gold to sell, I was going to sell gold and keep flipping it for radiant star emeralds since you could make unlimited profit, but my gold never sells.
